No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the garden. . Mavenhurst is just a 6-minute walk from the coastline of Bracklesham Bay, ideal for walkers, surfers, and families alike. Located on the West Sussex coast the beach offers a mix of sand and pebbles depending on the tide. A perfect spot for a bucket and spade and great fossil hunting terrain- Bracklesham gives its name to a geological feature – the Bracklesham beds. At low tides expanses of fossils have been found.
There are 3 good-sized bedrooms, a large open plan living/dining room with a large comfy corner sofa and smart TV with Netflix, ideal for relaxing after a busy day exploring. The kitchen has everything you could need, plus a freezer in the garage and an air fryer. You can walk along the beach from Bracklesham Bay to Selsey in the East or towards the villages of East Wittering and West Wittering in the other direction. Very close by the property is a mini supermarket for any of those last-minute groceries. There are a small selection of amenities including a beach café. The nearby village of East Wittering offers an array of independent shops, two mini supermarkets, eateries, cafés, and pubs. Chichester is just a 15-minute drive away (or bus ride from the nearby bus stop).
Chichester has delightful cobbled pedestrianised streets with an abundance of shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities and the ornate Cathedral and festival theatre. Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival Weekend, Fontwell Races, Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and Arundel with its historic castle, cathedral and wildfowl and wetland nature reserve are all close by. There are easy road links to many other sightseeing areas such as Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, the historic ships of Mary Rose and Nelson’s Victory and Gunwharf Quay with its waterside dining and designer shopping outlets.
