"Hacienda Chichen is one of our very favourite resorts anywhere in the world! On this most recent visit, our destination was the hacienda and we didn't even bother to tour Chichen Itza. We just love hanging out at the stunningly beautiful pool set amongst the historic cottages and meticulously landscaped gardens of this jungle oasis. Such an idyllic, peaceful spot! The terrace of the restaurant overlooks the grounds and is a wonderful spot to have a leisurely breakfast or enjoy dinner as the sun goes down. "

"Pretty sure I was the only guest at the property. It was quiet, great location to see local sites. If you are ok with bare bones in nature this is good for you. Negatives, limited cell coverage in the area, and no wifi, so hope you are ok with a digital detox. Hot water wasn't really a thing."

Gave us plenty of tips for things to do and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! The place is not for those seeking a hotel-like experience but we enjoyed the place for its uniqueness, the many animals, and for his amazing stories and breakfast.
