Average hotel in popular location. Elevators are packed at any peak time. Breakfast is typical/average. They have a lot of room for people to sit in the breakfast area.

Shower didn’t drain properly and we saw a cockroach come out of the employee area. The hook for your towels in the bathroom was coming off the wall as well. We did have a great view of Michigan ave and the lake.

The hotel has an outside pool ( no indoor pool, we traveled in the winter and unfortunately the pool being outside is closed). There were no mentions about the pool being outside so we had thought we can utilize the pool but couldn’t. Free breakfast was ok, not the best. Front desk staff were ok attitude. I wasn’t greeted during check in, there was also a wait line of 4 guests checking in and only 1 front desk agent working. I asked for a late check out , they offered a 12pm check out at the latest only( check out is at 11am originally) and I needed more time before my flight. When asked for a late check out, the front desk lady replied “ FOR YOUR ROOM, WE CAN DO 12pm only!” I’ve worked at hotels for 10 years previously and know that when asked,.. it doesn’t matter what room you have, they should honor it. I won’t be coming back to this property. Also they are located in Huron street and not Michigan so it was difficult finding nearby things.

This place has a little bit of jank to it, with the worst offender being the elevators (tip: hit both up and down buttons and get on during rush hour), but the staff, price, location, and breakfast are just too hard to beat.

The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. The water in the bathtub wouldn’t drain, and when I checked, there was a huge amount of hair clogging it. And the towels were white, but they had stains on them.

Nice hotel and really close to Lurie’s children’s hospital. Our room was right by the elevator which was convenient but very noisy at night. Beds are quite firm and pillows go totally flat after a minute.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room- especially the bathroom. When we arrived there was a lot of hair in the shower, like it had not been cleaned. There was also no soap in the shower. Also the fan in the bathroom did not work and the drain in the shower was not functioning so you stood in water the whole time showering. The walls, ceiling, and floor were tattered and broken in many places and the AC barely functioned.
