"I got really lost finding the right bus and Giacomo was really helpful and eventually came to pick me up in his car, which was fabulous as I was tired and with a big bag. The house is a lovely old house and the room was clean and perfect with an ensuite. Giacomo gave me information about where to go to eat and I went to Leo’s nearby where they cut slices of pizza at whatever size you like which is a great idea. In order to check in a few days prior you have to scan in your passport and a picture of you with your passport, fill out all your information and then you will be checked in by email. "This was a great place to stay for an early morning flight out of Pisa. The walk to the airport is short and easy. The neighborhood is safe. Inside the Pisaland is a common room with a refrigerator with drinks to buy and complimentary juice, coffee and wrapped pastries. Then you have your own room and bathroom. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Also, the beds were comfortable. The aesthetics feel like you are in an older home. I would highly recommend staying here. "

"Ideal position for 'tourist Pisa' and very reasonable price. Lovely old building and room. Furnished in matching style, comfortable and clean. There is some noise from other parts of the building and the square outside, but passing and not constant. "

"This was a one night piece of heaven on a 3 week trip. Beautiful space, wonderful people and close to everything including the train station. Their recommendations led us to the best meal of our trip. Their thoughtfulness meant we did not need anything, they had thought of our every need. We will definitely be back, thank you Cini! "The place is very conveniently located and we were able to walk everywhere in town! The rooms were fine just a little run down but overall comfortable and surprisingly quiet for the location!"

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

"Not so good. Shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom was shared. We arrived from the airport very late and gave the taxi driver the address. When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. However I saw someone else trying to enter the code for the front door and went in with them. I showed them my email and they helped us find and get into our room....

"Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. "Zwar abgelegen aber super schön und erholsam. Natürlich kann man immer meckern aber ich würde sagen das die Unterkunft vollkommen in Ordnung ist. Komplett Familien geführt und sehr ruhig, die Zimmer sind nicht mehr die neuesten aber ich finde soweit alles in Ordnung. Es wird sauber gehalten und auch das man nach 4 Tagen neue Handtücher bekommt ist nicht schlimm den auch zu Hause benutzt man nicht jeden Tag ein neues. Das Frühstück ist vollkommen ausreichend nur der Kaffee könnte etwas besser...

You have to come out of your room into a common small area and then go into the bathroom. It was kinda different, but I did not see anyone else there to share bathroom. "This is a truly beautiful house with long views down to Lucca and olive groves all around. It is well-furnished and we slept really soundly. Massimo, the host, is extremely gracious and offers many great ideas for local activities and day trips, and once you find it the local supermarket is very well stocked. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."

"This is a very nice hotel, not crazy fency, though charming in a very ‘historical way’. It’s really close/by the town center, perfectly clean and quiet, and, above all, the service was OUTSTANDING!! The staff was incredibly helpful, polite and attentive: they truly stood out compared to most other hotels I have stayed at. Also, the breakfast was simply amazing, with freshly made cappuccino decorated with a chocolate leaning tower : ), hand made cakes and pastries, as well as several savory alternatives. Give it a try!"

Basic but perfect for overnight stay

"Location is great 2 min walk from central station. Friendly reception staff, helped me out with a plug adaptor when I realised mine wouldn't work! Room was dated but very comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely. Luggage storage was very handy. Would definitely recommend."
