Goose Landing on Fairlee Creek

Time to start thinking about spring/summer vacation! This year, our home will be available to rent from April 10- September 30, 2025.

Welcome to Goose Landing, your serene waterfront retreat nestled on over 3 acres along the beautiful Fairlee Creek. This secluded 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home offers 350 feet of waterfront and breathtaking panoramic views. Enjoy the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, and take advantage of the kayaks available for your use. Our private dock is ideal for year-round fresh water activities, including water skiing, kayaking, and fishing. We also have a basketball court so you can shoot some hoops and play badminton. Come experience tranquility and adventure at Goose Landing!

The space
Sleep
Our spacious home is designed with families in mind, offering four comfortable bedrooms. The primary bedroom, located on the first floor, features a king bed and an attached private bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are upstairs, accessible via a charming spiral staircase. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have queen beds, while the fourth bedroom is perfect for kids, with a queen bed and three twin bunk beds. An additional bathroom is also located upstairs.

Entertain
Goose Landing is perfect for family fun and entertaining. The large great room with a fireplace and billiard table is ideal for cozy gatherings. Multiple outdoor deck areas, a screened-in porch, and a patio provide plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air. The expansive yard includes an asphalt play area with a basketball hoop, as well as badminton and pickleball nets for hours of fun. The well-equipped kitchen, complete with a large breakfast bar, invites everyone to join in the cooking.

Logistics
Our driveway accommodates 3-4 cars. For your convenience, the home is equipped with a keypad door lock, and your code will be sent to you the day before check-in.

For those looking to bring boats during their stay, Fairlee Creek Public Landing is 1/4 mile away and you are welcome to dock your boat on our private dock during your stay. The center of the creek can be counted on to have 3 feet at mean low tide. Typically, the average is closer to 4-5 feet in the center and next to our dock is 2-3 feet of depth. Anyone bringing a boat will need to provide proof of insurance.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property, including the dock, kayaks, canoes, hot tub, and sports courts. Please be mindful of our neighbors, as sound carries easily along the waterfront. Additionally, guests will be required to sign a liability waiver for the use of these amenities.
Other things to note
While we admire and appreciate fury friends, we do not allow them in our home. If this is an issue, we are happy to provide information on pet boarding as an alternative during your stay.

This is our personal vacation home, so you may notice some of our personal belongings around. We kindly ask that you leave them as they are while you are visiting.

Please note that if you cancel a booked reservation, and it is within the timeframe for a full refund, you will receive the refund minus the credit card processing fee of 2.9%.

Stunning Property
This was the perfect house for my family! Plenty of space allowed for everyone to do their own thing. Enjoyed playing pool, using the court for pickleball, and of course the water sports. Great for all ages!

Beautiful place! The property was beautiful and the house was very clean and nice! We caught some fish off the dock and the view from the house out into the water was amazing. Plenty to do on the grounds and if you’re looking for a nice place to get away too and relax this was top notch!

Annual Crabbing and Fishing Trip
We were a group of three pair of brothers, all cousins/nephews to one another. We go annually to the Chesapeake Bay area for a weekend of crabbing and fishing. This year we stayed here for 4 nights over the weekend. The property is as described and pictured. We had an enjoyable and fun stay here. Plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors, for 6 guys!

fabulous place to relax
We had a fabulous stay. The house was very clean, had everything that we needed and there were lots of places to relax. My favorite place to relax was on the upstairs couch overlooking the water. We spent most of our time on the porch. It was a super hot weekend so we were very grateful for the A/C units. We spent a few hours exploring nearby Rock Hall and Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge. We would love to come back!

Beautiful property on the water with a well appointed home and really thoughtful extras. Stunning Views
We had the best time! The house had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing girls trip. The property was beautiful - very private with stunning views. The outside space was perfect for our group - we loved having coffee out on the deck and screened in porch, and enjoyed a crab feast on the outdoor picnic table. We also got to use the kayaks and canoe, and enjoy the hot tub. Lydia was an amazing host and was very quick to respond to any questions. We hope to come back sometime soon!

My group had an incredible time staying at Lydia's property. Lydia was so accommodating and communicative. The house is in really good shape - very clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and tons of things to do inside and out. The views from the kitchen, deck, and firepit are picture-perfect. Awesome stay!
We had a great weekend at Fairlee Creek. The house is beautiful and spacious- so much for parents and kids to do including fishing from the dock, pool table, and an awesome time by the fire pit. The property is super private and host was communicative and helpful. Also worth a trip into Chestertown for shopping and lunch in a very sweet downtown. We’re already talking about when we can go back! Strong recommend!!

Graduation weekend
We had a lovely stay at Lydias. It was our daughter's graduation weekend from Washington College. The home is just 15 minutes away from Washington College. The location of the house is serene and very relaxing. It was nice to go back and forth between Chestertown and graduation activities to this property to relax. Lydia even left a graduation gift for our daughter in the welcome basket!! Very thoughtful.

Relaxing Wooded Getaway with Stunning Views
We had a wonderful stay at this house for a birthday weekend trip! The house was incredibly cozy with plenty of board games to play and a clean, well-equipped kitchen. An Oasis Within Reach
Lydia and John's property is just lovely. A great layout and space to feel cozy but also with room to oneself when needed. We used it all: the dock and family room, the patio and dining area... We loved Lydia and John’s house on Fairlee Creek and had a great time exploring the Creek and surrounding areas with our boat. Saying goodbye to summer is always hard but enjoying our morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up, and family evenings by the campfire making s’mores, made that goodbye a bit easier. Beautiful, cozy stay with a water view
We went on a family trip with my siblings, aunt and mother. There was so much space to relax and talk. We happened to get a rainy weekend but were able to see the view of the river from inside in each living space. the big table made for nice meals and games. The owners were so helpful and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. We thought we would be outside on kayaks but instead we were by the fireplace. the little touches like very fluffy towels and a bottle of wine made us feel welcome and comfortable. It was a short ride into town. I need to come back when its not raining to take advantage of the outside chairs and the kayaks. This quiet getaway was a perfect place to take time with family!!

Gorgeous views, plenty of comfort!
I have nothing but superlatives to say about everything: the spacious house, large windows and decks, lots of comfortable seating, kitchen island, the available kayaks and canoe, screened porch and fire pit. A Large ground floor master with en suite is separate from other bedrooms and bath on 2nd floor. The property is only 9 miles from Chestertown, Rock Hall, Great Oak Landing and Tolchester Beach. The front of the house faces east, so we enjoyed sunrise on the deck as we sipped our morning coffee. The owner was always available for any questions by phone and was a congenial host! Thank you for having us; we will be back!

Perfect Getaway
Our vacation was absolutely perfect. The location was remote enough to disappear, enjoy daily paddles in the kayaks, and do some fishing off of the dock; we even caught a catfish big enough to snap the line, which thrilled my son. The amount of wildlife and birds we saw was unreal. We saw 10+ bald eagles (we even saw one dive into the water to catch a fish), 10+ herons, and plenty more. The house itself was amazing. It's perfectly tucked in the woods, which allowed us to barely even need the AC. We spent a ton of time eating meals and playing games on the screened in side porch. On Lydia's recommendation, we went to Eastern Neck, and our family loved the butterfly trail there. We even made the trip out to Assateague Island, which was a longer day trip but well worth it! The town of Chestertown has a ton of charm as well. It was everything we were hoping for and more. We don't return to many vacations spots - we usually prefer going to see new places - but we will definitely be back to this one!
