Helicopter rides available locally (weather permitting). Close by are Chesterfield, Ashover, Matlock, Chatsworth House and Bakewell. Golf and horse riding within 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Loved this cottage.
Loved this cottage. It was lovely and clean and in an excellent state of repair. The external picture does not do it justice. Inside it is beautifully laid out and has a nice cosy feel. We have stayed at many cottages and this is probably has the best lay out and appropriate room sizes. It is the edge of Clay Cross which has everything you are likely to need. It is not in the Peak District but there are plenty of walks on the doorstep. The owners kindly provided us with secure storage for our cycles we took with us. The garden is secure for you dog should you take one. No complaints, would recommend it and would consider returning.

Nice cottage, fantastic garden for the dog. Good holiday all in all. Close enough to explore lots of lovely areas of the peaks but whilst the cottage is up a lane, it quite near the built up more induatrial areas. A few more items in the welcome pack would be a nice touch.

This cottage is a little gem. Credit to the owners for the comfort and cleanliness this place offers. A big plus was the secure back garden which was ideal for the dog being able to be safely let off his lead to enjoy the outside.

A lovely peaceful location and a super cottage for our weekend break. Fully enclosed garden for our young dog and walks from the doorstep. Would definitely recommend and return. NB there was no washing up liquid, hand soap, kitchen roll and bath towels are very small.
