The noise levels are very high due to the house being on a very busy road. Double glazed windows are timber which makes little to no difference to bring the noise levels down. You feel the house shaking when any HGV passses by. No toiletries in the first floor toilet as claimed. You can’t hang any clothes or towel while taking a shower. Floor boards near the toilet need to be looked at as it shakes badly. Water seeps through every time someone takes a shower resulting in a puddle of water near the toilet. Overall it was a below average experience.
Property was exactly how was described booked another week 👍

Liked: Cleanliness
No sleep after 3am midweek.
I should have taken on board the other comments about the road. A busy road wouldn’t usually bother me. Yes it’s a busy road but if you are in room five don’t expect much sleep after 3am. Lorries start rattling passed, some just seconds apart. When they hit an old strip of roadworks (looks years old - slightly sunken tarmac) across the road it shakes room 5. The radiator rattled, the bed physically shook (probably due to the loose floorboards) and either something in the wall or ceiling that has worked loose also rattled. Floorboards definitely loose (probably worked loose from all the shaking) as when walking in one corner of the room the sideboard would wobble. Shame as that place in a different location would score more highly but to purchase a room to sleep in that fails to let you sleep doesn’t score highly in my book. House was clean and nice. The three other blokes staying seemed pleasant when I saw them and we shuffled the cars/vans around in the drive to fit with morning set off times. Driveway would fit 3-4 cars. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper and happy to be shaken in your sleep this room is probably not for you. NOTE: I stayed midweek so maybe there would be less lorries/busses of a weekend.
Nice property but they sent us an incorrect key code to get our room key and that caused unneccessary problems. Need a thicker curtain in the front bedroom to block out light and traffic noise.
Was a lovely guest house very clean large room was a slight mix up with our room an was a twin room instead of a double but they were very happy to sort this out very quickly and were very friendly
Good size room, recently refurbished.
Located next to a busy main road, so it's a bit noisy at times.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
No sleep/owners not interested
Our trip started off by not being able to get in as the key didn't work. Although this was fixed after half an hour everything was poor from then on in. We got two single beds even know we were asked twice if we wanted singles or a double. We then were woken up 3x the first night at about 2,4 and 6 by other people shouting and banging around the house. The following night the scout hut was blaring out music until about 130/2am. I had to go around myself to tell them to turn it down. After two restless nights in single beds we were left very tired and pretty unimpressed. I text the owner to say so and was simply ignored. No reply at all. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Very disappointing.
Very smart and comfortable. Feels very homely and the layout and design is lovely. Around half hour walk away from Chester town or Sainsbury's. The Cheshire Cat is a wonderful eating venue just down the road.
I had a huge room with a comfortable king size bed. Room had TV, clean towels, wardrobe space. The house has a lovely, really well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to self-cater. Good shower, garden with patio furniture out the back. Everything was really clean, comfortable and homely. I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area!
