Mountain Mama cabin lies in the Chattahochee-Oconee National Forest. The cabin is in THE BEST location possible, just 15-minutes from Blue Ridge and Ellijay! This allows for you to easily visit both the awesome mountain towns during your stay. Mama is a secluded and private sanctuary, w/ 3 bedrooms + a bunk room (equipped with a sweet arcade game😎), 3 modern spa-like bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, an awesome hot tub, and a movie room! She also has a full house generator if the power goes out (very important... make sure you book a cabin with one!)

🍳 KITCHEN:
Newly renovated in 2022, your kitchen is fully-equipped with gorgeous white quartz countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances and all of the kitchen essentials: Pots/Pans/Bakeware/Airfryer/Toaster Oven/Plates/Cups/Wine Glasses/Utensils/
NEW as of June 2024: a full barista worthy coffee bar with Brooklyn coffee beans, grinder, milk frother, Keurig machine, regular coffee pot machine, fresh press, flavored syrups, and an assortment of teas.

🛏 BEDS:
We provide 5-star hotel quality sleeping accommodations all of our guests. Each bed has a brand-new NECTAR mattress, 400TC lux sateen weave linens, and Buffy Cloud comforters. You will truly feel like you are sleeping in the clouds.

🧻 AMENITIES:
We provide Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap, as well as towels, toilet paper, paper towels & trash can liners. We also provide basic cleaning supplies.

🚪 ENTRY:
There is a keypad located at the front door for a simple keyless entry. Entry code will be provided to you 48 hours before arrival. The code is changed after every guest.

🅿️ PARKING:
There is enough room for 2 vehicles at the main base of the drive way, as well as a 3rd spot about halfway down the driveway (you will have to walk about 200 feet down to the cabin from this spot).

🚘 THE DRIVE TO THE TOP:
The cabin in located at the top of Rich Mountain, so the road can be a bit windy and steep at times. Take your time and enjoy the adventure! We recommend 4WD or AWD, if that's an option, if not though -- we have cars with FWD make it up but will take a bit more skill.

Pro tip: if you turn your radio down and open the windows, you can hear the sounds of the creek as you ascend to the top!

💻 INTERNET:
We have high speed internet! You are able to surf the web, stream videos and work remotely.
You can access your Hulu & Netflix accounts with the Smart TVs

🥾 OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:
There are tons of things to do around here: hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, kayaking, bird watching, SQUATCHIN' (look it up, lol.)--anything you can think of, Appalachia has it.

🔐 SECURITY:
A Ring security camera is located OUTSIDE on the front porch of the house for your security. This outdoor camera does actively record. NO cameras inside the property!

We do allow pets, BUT please only bring animals that are completely house trained.

We had a very nice time at this cabin. The views were indeed *big*, and the mountain sides were colorful during the late October time we stayed. The kitchen was well stocked, the projector was a great addition, and the hot tub was great in its enclosed porch. It was good to be in-between Ellijay and Blue Ridge and close to many great things to go out and do. We recommend an AWD vehicle and knowing how to properly use it for the drive up and down (stay in first gear; use DAC if available; drive slowly; and have a helper if you haven't driven on mountain roads before).

Cozy Retreat
We had a wonderful & relaxing stay at Mountain Mama. We had no issues whatsoever our entire stay. It was very well stocked with everything we needed and included a lot of additional touches that you don't usually find. Our teenagers enjoyed the basement and having their own space while we enjoyed the sun porch and our Goldendoodle appreciated the dog beds. Brianna was very responsive & helpful. It is close to town if you want to get out and about. It was so relaxing we didn't want to leave. We would definitely book a stay here again.

Great Stay!
We had a great Fall break trip at Mountain Mama cabin! The cabin is exactly as described. Such a cute vintage vibe with lots of extra touches to make it feel extra cozy. We enjoyed the vinyl records, morning coffee and breakfast on the sun porch, evenings by the fire pit, and movies in the downstairs movie area. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. The location is perfect! About 15 minutes from Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The communication was also top notch!! And did I mention that the views are AMAZING! The road to the cabin was a bit tricky for our Suburban. After a few times my husband got the hang of it and it was fine. Don’t let the driveway scare you. It’s worth it! Highly recommend.

This cabin is so charming. The views are amazing and we rode out hurricane Helene and never lost power. Our teens loved the games and the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked which is so appreciated. Book it! You won’t be disappointed!

We booked this rental for our anniversary trip and we brought our frenchie with us as this place is pet friendly! The place is cozy and super clean. If you like seclusion then this is the perfect place for you! The owner was super nice and could get in contact with her immediately. We will definitely be coming back.

Sweet Serenity
The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful and felt so so homey!! They have everything you could imagine for your stay and the hot tub is so nice. The mountain does have a decent incline on the way up so just make sure to follow the directions given and to have a car that supports that type of nature and you’re all set! My friends and I felt safe and like we were at a home away from home. Not one bad thing to say! We will definitely be staying here again.

Mountain Mama was the perfect escape for our family! Nestled between Blue Ridge and Ellijay, the cabin’s location made it easy to enjoy both towns. The mountain views were breathtaking,the kids couldn’t get enough of the arcade game and movie room. The reading room and cozy sunroom were ideal for relaxing. Brianna, our host, was fantastic—super responsive and cooperative, ensuring we had everything we needed. The road up is a bit tricky, but the destination is worth it.

Brianna was a very sweet host and Mountain Mama is very cozy and welcoming. The coffee/tea bar is so perfect and even comes with Raw Honey (iykyk). The property was described just as listed. The fire pit was a great touch to our weekend escape from the city life. We were sad when we ran out of firewood which was also provided by the host. The cabin is dog friendly, so be prepared for a slight dog odor (not a stinky smell). Also, my husband is 6’4 and we took the room upstairs which is a tight space and he had to slightly bend to walk to the bed. But the bed was very comfortable and the rainfall sounds from that room are only ones you can get from Mountain Mama as they were so serene to my ears. I came in a 4door Toyota and we did make it up and down the mountain even while wet. If you are in a lower ground car like mines, pack as light as you can. Overall, we loved our stay and definitely want to return!!!

Great place to stay
Our stay in the cabin was great! The kitchen is fully stocked with lots of pots/pans, plates, silverware, extra cooking appliances, pretty much everything you could possibly need. It's in a secluded and quiet area but then the road is pretty crazy. We contacted the host about the door code not working when we got there but they were very responsive and got us in quickly. Great place to stay. Highly recommended if you want to stay in the area!

Spring Break getaway
Mama Mountain was a perfect spot to unwind for a few days. Our teens especially loved the hot tub, their own hang out space in the basement and watching Netflix on the projector screen. We all enjoyed the sunroom every morning and throughout the day! The only thing that could have been better was to have a longer stay! The owners were quick to respond to our questions and a little hiccup getting to the property.

Loved everything about this place! Nothing was left to guess work. All devices had easy to follow directions. Lots of room to stretch out and relax, inside and out. The hot tub was a dream. One of the few places that actually considers cats as "pets". Brianna was extremely responsive, polite and very caring! I hope to be back!

Perfect place for relaxation! Waking up and watching the sunrise over the mountains while listening to the creek and the birds from the sunroom was one of our favorite parts. The home is in a private setting and the layout is great! There is space to gather together in a big group, or to spread out and have privacy. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. Host provided an unexpected array of tea and coffee. The hot tub was toasty and also easy to cover & uncover. The showers are amazing and the beds were super comfortable. We loved the selection of pillows and the plush bedding. The projector was fun, as were the games. Hosts responded promptly and are very helpful. They put a lot of effort into making your stay comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze. We cannot wait to come back!

So many nice touches made this stay stand out. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is spacious and inviting. The wood burning fireplace made for cozy family gatherings in the living room. The beds were all very comfortable and the linens felt especially soft and luxurious. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the main porch…perfect reading spot, the record player, the Buck game and the foosball table downstairs. This cabin has something for everyone.

Pleasant surprise
We had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to a longer return. Even though this had been our overall choice of stay out of a few different cabins, we were still surprised at how much nicer it was in person. Incredibly clean, the decor was wonderful, everything functioned properly and the view from sun room is perfect! FYI - “Haven”leash-less dog park is a quick trip away for anyone with pups. For anyone with a larger/lifted vehicle, the drive way can be a little challenging to turn around in if you drive all the way to the cabin and under the covered parking spot. On day of check-in, we were sent a welcome list which provides information on the extra parking option which was a very short walk from the cabin and we found it easier and quicker to use that. Looking down at the views off the mountain made it worth it!

PEACEFUL Mountain Mama
Overall our stay was extremely peaceful and relaxing. Mountain Mama is exactly as listed however even better in person. We have stayed in this area for several years now, this is the first place we have wanted to re-book!! Brianna was an excellent host. Timely with all questions and extremely informative. We are from Florida and were concerned about the driveway to the home. She went above and beyond providing us with a video of the actual drive. I will say, it was a much easier drive than we thought, steep at times and a few sharp turns but nothing that we couldn’t handle, we have a large suv but not 4 wheel drive. Do not let the driveway hold you back. It is a very quiet location, beautiful views, lights up well in the evening, is fully stocked with everything you need. The Christmas decor was an added touch that we absolutely loved as well as the record player, we really enjoyed playing records, sitting by the fire and doing several puzzles. The home is also very centrally located to everything you need in town and a quick drive to Ellijay and Blue Ridge! Definitely visit Amicalola Falls State Park! Do yourself a favor and stay here when you visit Cherry Log! We look forward to going back and staying at Mountain Mama
