"This property could have been nice, but the repairs were not done well and looked horrible. Ceiling in bathroom was 7 ft with poorly done drop ceiling. Shower head was low due to drop ceiling. Metal ceiling tile holders were rusting because they were in the shower portion. Property was clean, just poorly kept. "

"Our grandmother used to live in this house back in the 1950's and 60's and our whole family dreamed of that lovely home. So our dream, literally, came true when we got to stay in this beautifully cared for home! John has taken care to maintain its classic beauty. Everything was clean and welcoming when we arrived. There were even fresh flowers and snacks to greet us after our long trip to Cheraw! The house is beautifully decorated and the decor is historically correct. The location is right in the middle of the Cheraw historic district and we took advantage of this on several walks around the area. Just a small tip--- we were able to get someone from the historical society to give us a personal tour and it was well worth the time. Communications from John about the history of the home and about how to access the house were very clear and on time. We have previously stayed in local hotels when we have been in Cheraw for business trips and we can unequivocally say that our experience at this home was the best in every aspect. There are plenty of rooms to accommodate groups and the kitchen is nice and well-stocked. Even if you don't have a specific reason to be in Cheraw, I would suggest that you stay in this house just for the rare opportunity to experience southern elegance and hospitality at a reasonable cost. I promise-- you won't regret it! "

"I was surprised that my trash was emptied and the room checked while I was gone on Saturday. I was surprised on clean all thru the weekend the whole area appeared. It is certainly not a new facility but well cared for. Staff was more than friendly and helpful, bright smiles. excellent choice."
