Teagles Cottage - a delightful home from home in Stow-on-the-Wold

Teagles Cottage, located in the heart of picturesque Stow-on-the-Wold, has been beautifully renovated to create the perfect retreat for romantic breaks, walking holidays or group get-togethers. Constructed from traditional honey-coloured Cotswold stone dating back around 150 years, we believe the cottage originally started life as a barn. The owners have injected new life and incorporated contemporary features, including a large log burner, eye-catching oak, and nickel stair banisters, and cleverly designed under-eave bedroom wardrobes.

Step through the front door into the bright and airy hallway - a great place to hang coats, take off walking boots and relax after a day exploring the Cotswolds in this wonderfully welcoming, luxury holiday rental.

So much thought has been put into Teagles Cottage with nothing forgotten, making it a delightful Cotswold holiday home-from-home. From the thoughtful toiletries and chest of family games to the fully equipped kitchen and fantastic log burner it's not surprising that guests return year after year.

Fantastic property
I'm simply echoing the rave reviews of everyone else, but Teagles truly is a magical little place. The house was immaculate, comfy, fully updated, and perfect for our family of five adults. With four bedrooms, three twin beds, and two King beds, the cottage comfortably sleeps seven. Lindsay was the best hostess: directions and check-in were easy and clear, wonderful communications, and the home is stocked with everything imaginable - including a bottle of milk, wine, crackers, and dessert. Traveling from the U.S., it helped enormously to have a washer and dryer and hair dryers at the house. The location couldn't be more perfect, on a side street just across from the historic Porch House pub and just a few steps down from StowTown Coffee, where we treated ourselves to the best coffee each morning. Stow-on-the-Wold is bustling with tourists during the day but is a quiet little town at night, so even with the windows open at night, it always was quiet and peaceful. Plus, Stow was the perfect town to operate as a home base for touring the rest of The Cotswolds. 10/10 recommend.

Cotswolds Escape
We wanted a location within walking distance of a village, shops, pubs - not rural. We also wanted convenient access to other areas of the Cotswolds. Our family has visited in this part of England many times and we were interested in exploring new things. The Farm shops were of particular interest. We just enjoy the scenery, the pace, the history and the natural beauty. Teagues cottage was ideally situated. It was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. The entire stay -from booking to arriving to departure - was extremely effortless. We truly hated to leave.

Beautiful Property - Home from Home
We enjoyed an amazing stay at Teagles Cottage in Stow-on the Wold at the weekend. With 4 bedrooms (2 x king, 1 x twin and a single), 2 bathrooms and separate toilet downstairs there was ample of room for 6 of us to sleep. The lounge area was spacious and the kitchen had every utensil you could wish for! The property was spotless throughout and created a home from home environment. Teagles Cottage is literally on the doorstep of the main village where enjoyed visiting a couple of the local pubs and enjoyed a lovely meal at the local Indian restaurant. We all highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed ☺

A simply delightful cottage in the heart of Stow with parking.
Stayed here with my wife and two adult children to escape from the nightmare of Covid for a while! We absolutely loved Teagles Cottage; It’s located right in the heart of Stow and is just over the road from a wonderful pub (Porch House) and countless excellent restaurants . The lovely owner, Lindsay, has fitted out the house beautifully and it really feels like a luxury home from home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and doesn’t feel like your average rental property. We all feel so refreshed after staying here and will definitely be returning. Thank you Lindsay.

Wonderful week in Teagles Cottage
We had a beautiful week in April in Stow-on-the-wold. The house has everything you Need. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast or dinner. People in the village and around are very friendly, visited all the small villages around. We had also tickets for Higlclere Castle, known from Downtown Abbey, even very popular in Germany. We went Shopping to Bicester Village and hat a nice stay in Oxford. All is within 1 hour drive. We really can recommend the house and the region.
