Enjoyed our stay.
The Lookout is a fun place to stay and this was a nice property. Place was clean, nice, and well maintained. Only suggestion would be to put a king bed in the second bedroom vs the second bedroom.

Amazing House
House was super clean, well equipped, and organized. The house was outfitted with really nice furnishings that made it feel like home. The Lookout is an amazing location that feels like a little community. Highly recommend.

The amenities were amazing. We didn’t need anything to supplement, well-stocked. The community was a dream with the shuttles the boat and JetSki rentals. Very helpful employees. looking forward to the next time.

Great location and amenities
The community offers several amenities that we unfortunately didn’t get to take full advantage of during our weekend stay. If you’re a family with kids, this is an ideal place for you. Great location close to our pontoon boat rental dock (Modern Boat Rentals - highly recommend), wineries, grocery store/downtown. The house was very clean, the hot tub and fire pit were great, and outdoor seating area was nice. You receive three parking passes for the house, and any extra cars park in an overflow lot. The office was really helpful and even left the passes in the house for us so we didn’t have to drive down and pick them up. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would book again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a great time and absolutely loved the floor plan of this home. It was perfect for us, and there were plenty of amenities. I loved having the primary bedroom off in a different spot of the house and not below any bedrooms. The upstairs was so cozy and perfect for the rest of our family. The only con is that there are no blackout shades in the primary bedroom, which made for a very difficult sleep. It’s very bright in there due to the windows along with the outdoor lighting. We had a small baby staying in our bedroom with us, and that was also challenging with the brightness of the bedroom. I expected there to be better window treatments in the primary bedroom. Other than that, we had an amazing experience! If there were better window treatments in the primary bedroom, we would definitely book his house again.

Girl’s Trip
The Byrd’s Nest is beautiful! We loved the home. It was very modern and felt like new. We had a great time relaxing in the hot tub and the fire pit outside was fantastic. There are not views feom the home like the pictures show, but the location is wonderful and The Lookout is a great neighborhood.

The pools, access to the beach, yoga, live music, winery - the ease of the community you cannot beat. Byrd's Nest is wonderful. Great layout for 2 families to share easily with 4 kids in the bunk room. Lots of games and float toys. My only concern is that this house did not offer a lake view as advertised. The pictures and description of the house are not updated. We selected Byrd's Nest to wake up to a lake view and unfortunately we did not get that. Be aware that additional housing construction has now blocked that view you see in the photos.

The property description is misleading with a photo of the upstairs media family room with a view of the lake in the background. We looked forward to this room for down time with our special needs child’s that is unable to leave the home at times. We felt we could enjoy the lake while attending to his needs but this room did not have the published view whatsoever.

Throughout the stay we were impressed by: 1) its cleanliness, 2) how well the home was organized (labels galore), and 3) how tastefully and thoughtfully the decor had been selected. We loved the little touches....the great selection of games, the abundance of plates and utensils for children, and wine glasses for every occasion. Kudos to the owners for offering a home that is clearly loved with intentionality.

Byrd’s Nest is very nice and The Lookout is always absolutely perfect. We love coming here and it’s become a family tradition that my children look forward to. My only small complaint was with the the ants in the house . They were on the kitchen counter near the sink and it was incredibly unappetizing to prepare food near them.

The grounds are lovely and the staff is always very polite and quick to assist. The only complaint I would have was the construction right next door. I understand it can't be helped but they had their little trailer parked right in front of our house. The workers started very early and were loud for people on a vacation. I think the trailer could have been parked across the street or even a little more down the road so it wasn't in front out our porch. Again, I understand that construction is necessary but it would have been nice to have a heads up. When we first arrived at the house the sounds of their voices were so loud that I thought they were inside the home! Other than that, I have zero complaints. We love The Lookout and I'm so happy it's become a traditional part of our summer.

However the construction on surrounding houses was suffocating and not at all relaxing on the weekdays. Massive machinery was constantly on the streets outside and blocking the driveway. I wouldn't recommend staying before the construction is completed. We had to leave a day early because we couldn't stand the noise...

Wonderful house completely surrounded by construction

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Byrd's nest is a beautiful home that is very well appointed and decorated. The inside of the home was spotless and we enjoyed spending time inside and enjoyed one good day of views on the porch. Starting on Monday morning at 6:45 am heavy construction vehicles rode in and construction on 4 sides of the house continued for 12.5 hours a day every day. The house literally shook and the noise wad incredibly loud. So much dust and dirt was kicked up that we could spend no time outside on the porch until it was dark and they were gone. We were unable to use the BBQ because it was covered in dirt and so much dust was in the air. I was expecting some noise, but nothing to this extent. It was pretty unbearable and not the relaxing environment we were hoping for. I would not come back until construction is finished and would not recommend it to a friend.
