Peggers Cabin | Luxury Rustic Tiny Cabin| Spa

Peggers Cabin at Wauhatchie Woodlands is a cozy, tiny cabin located just 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. It offers access to a private hot tub, a furnished back deck, and a covered front deck with a charcoal grill. In addition, there is a shared fire pit for you to enjoy during your stay. The natural surroundings are incredibly charming and memorable. With a main bedroom and a sleeping loft, Peggers can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance. We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. It was clean and cared for. The hot tub was so nice. It was a quiet spot even though there is so much to do in the area.

We were passing through on our way down south and opted to find a cabin instead of a hotel for our short stay but I would love to come back. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our group of 2 adults and 2 teens!

Family Weekend

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Our girls (8&9) loved the loft and the hot tub. Overall we enjoyed our stay although the late night trains were a little disruptive.

Great cabin!

My wife, teenage daughter and her best friend were traveling through Chattanooga and this was a perfect stop. They had the loft beds and my wife and I had the bedroom and we all had plenty of space and privacy. The hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day in the truck. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Stopped on the way through taking a kiddo to college. Our only regret would be not being able to stay longer...lots to do in the area and absolutely beautiful! Will be back in the future when we have more time.

Perfect Family Escape

We so enjoyed our stay at Timberrot. The tiny cabin was clean, well kept, stocked with everything you could need, and had plenty of storage to stay organized. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the loft and the hot tube. We had one issue with the hot tube, and they were quick to respond and fix the issue. We especially loved how close Timberroot is to downtown and all of the outdoor attractions! We loved our stay and would choose to stay here again if we make it back to Chattanooga!

Quant little cabin

This was a nice 7yr anniversary get away!! Even with all the rain we had the best time eating and playing at the south side social!! We will definitely be back to hike next time since we couldn’t!!! Thanks to peggers cabin for a relaxing time and the darkness of the room kept us sleeping in for hrs!!! To the next visit 😘

Very helpful

We stayed at the Pegger’s cabin for one night to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was beautiful! Carmen and Logan with customer service were very helpful when we hit a snag with the hot tub. They got it fixed for us promptly and were very professional and courteous. We would definitely stay again.

Relaxing retreat

Unfortunately we only were able to stay one night here on our way to Florida. This was our favorite place of our 10 day trip. Very clean, awesome instructions for EVERYTHING. The hot tub and fire pit were relaxing and a great area to hang out. The cabin was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the new sponge, laundry detergent and dishwasher pods that were set out so we didn’t have to search for them. If we ever come back to the Chattanooga area we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

TN vacation

We stayed here for 3 nights. Came from Gatlinburg visiting Smoky Mountain Natl Park to Chatanooga. This was so nice coming from a hotel to this adorable and cozy cabin! My family of four loved it! My two daughters loved the upstairs loft where they each had their own twin beds. Everything was supplied as far as supplies for the bathroom including bodywash, shampoo & conditioner. We liked that all cooking utensils were supplied. We enjoyed the hot tub outside and it was easy to operate. We also appreciated the wood supplied for the campfire! If we visit this area again we will for sure know where we will stay!

I stayed three nights with my adult and teen kids. It was the perfect place for a little family getaway. It was clean, lovely, well stocked, had super-comfortable beds, and better than we hoped for. We bought a little box fan for added circulation in the loft, which made it perfect. I may have misread the listing because we were expecting a pull-out sofa. Regardless, the sofa was a fine size for my son to sleep comfortably. The porch was perfect for relaxing and playing cards. We've already recommended the property to friends and are planning to return.

Weekend getaway

My family and I came to Chattanooga for the weekend to see Ruby Falls and Rock City. This cabin is in between both venues. The cabin smells like wood, it’s like camping outdoors but with the comforts of home. Everything we needed was there. The “made with love” soaps are amazing. The hot tub was the best, just what we needed after a long day of waking. Only downside was that the train tracks are very close by and at times we’re loud and very long. The other thing was there was a rainstorm and the rain is very loud on the metal roof. If you are a light sleeper like me then bring ear plugs. Despite this me and my family cannot wait to come back and stay again!

Clean, Cute, Peaceful... Just Right

My friends & I told my sister we were kidnapping her for a fun girls getaway for her 60th birthday. We rented Peggers cabin. The property has several cabins and is very close to most everything you could want to do in Chattanooga! 3 of us gals stayed. The hot tub was great! We got in about an hour after arriving, and relaxed until it was time to go to dinner. I'd had many conversations before our arrival with our host, Frank (who is FANTASTIC at being so helpful & responding so quickly). Frank suggested several places to dine & fun activities to do near the property. He wasn’t kidding when he said the 1885 Grill was only 5 minutes away. Dinner was tasty & the atmosphere was nice & laid back. After returning again to our cabin, we couldn’t resist the hot tub again - even in 32-degree weather. So, we went for another dip before retiring indoors for the night. The TV in the living room was big and the long couch allowed for all 3 of us to kick back and watch a movie together before bedtime. We gave my sister the big bed/bedroom. I climbed the small steps to the loft and crawled to one of two twin-sized beds, which was very comfortable, and our friend decided to sleep on the couch. She has bad knees and didn't want to climb the steps and crawl to bed (Hey, we're in our 50s/60s). The amenities in the cabin and on the property were perfect for our needs. There's a woodshed to the right just after entering the property. Be sure to grab a few pieces of wood for your fire. We didn't know where the wood was kept until we discovered it on our way out. We didn't build a fire for S'mores as we'd planned because it was just too cold out and we were tired from our adventures. Next time, we plan to take advantage of the fire pit though. Peggers was neat & tidy with very nice, updated appliances. We only used the refrigerator coffee maker, washer/dryer & hot tub during our one-night stay. The beds & sheets were clean & comfortable. Nice towels were provided for indoors & for the hot tub. The fridge was spacious and clean with an ice maker. The neighborhood is cute and the neighbors are respectful of your privacy. It was quiet & peaceful. We would love to stay again. And we'll be sure to tell friends & family to also!
