Great little house, close to things to do. House had lots of character and beds were comfy. Property manager was very responsive. Would stay again.
FYI, kitchen isn’t super well equipped if you planned on doing a lot of cooking, which we didn’t.
We were in town for an ultimate Frisbee tournament. We had a couple of free hours and enjoyed an easy walk downtown. Lots of great shops, restaurants, a park and a huge pedestrian bridge across the river.
The home is very cozy and had everything we needed!
Location was excellent. In walking distance to to Frazier St restaurants/shopping. House was comfortable. Cleanliness could be better. Baseboards and ceiling corners were dusty and had webs. BF and daughter complained about the beds too soft but I didn't have a problem.
I was in town for Ironman race with Ross Landing as the transition location. This was a great place to be. Close to race venue and many restaurants and shops walkable. 2 blocks from the run course
House was great! Extremely clean and had everything we needed! Beds were super comfortable and communication with the owner was effortless. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. Loved the location! We were able to walk to some bars, restaurants and shopping. If we were a bit younger, we would’ve been able to walk to a lot more! Great vacation!!
We really enjoyed staying here, especially due to its location being so close to a nice part of town. My husband and I both agreed that the bed is extremely comfortable too. Danny was kind and accommodating to let us check out a little later as my husband needed to work a little bit from the house. Thank you, Danny!

Graduation trip
My family stayed one night to see my daughter graduate from UTC. There were cobwebs everywhere and they house stunk. Nothing to use in the kitchen to eat in at all. Furniture stunk and beds were horrible. Light switch in the bathroom shot out sparks when you turn it on. I did not contact manager based on the poor reviews/response from previous renters. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

located across from construction site with tons of noise
outside ok..super rough inside. most floors only plywood still. Windows have no glides n slam down. Def not for kids or anyone expecting a finished house. Super dusty n grimy. whenever he finishs n construction project done it will be great..but now i had to hold sink up from falling off the pedestal in the bathroom! haha
Very pleasant craftsman bungalow in a quiet neighborhood with several singles and couples of all ages walking for enjoyment and/or walking their dogs.
The house is in a safe area and is very accessible to several interesting shops and eateries in the North Shore section of Chattanooga. We enjoyed breakfasts at Aretha Frankenstein and Milk and Honey as well as great sandwiches and craft beer at Base Camp. The Walnut Street Bridge is a railroad bridge spanning the Tennessee River converted to a pedestrian only walking bridge which brings you to downtown Chattanooga-all a pleasant walk from the property. Coolidge Park with the antique carousel is a must stop along the river shore.
We would definitely stay here again if we return to the Chattanooga area in the future.
Smells bad throughout the house, had to get a hotel
We had to reach out to the owner for information to get into the house, usually places we book automatically send us this kind of information the week of our trip.
Upon our arrival, the house had several weird smells in different rooms. The listing on VRBO specifically says no smoking and no pets but in the house the welcome book talks about keeping your pets off the furniture. The couch smells like dog…I don’t know what the kitchen smells like…. Behind the trash can was a cigarette butt!
We left and checked into a hotel. We reached out to the owner and told him the house was not suitable, he told us he cleaned it himself. At the time he offered a refund for half the booking, but of course, that didn’t happen.
We would not have booked if we knew it was a place that allowed pets or smoking. If you like staying at a nice clean smelling place, this is not the place for you.
Good luck!
Upon arrival to the house the beds were not made, there were dirty towels in the bath tub and the floors and bathroom were dirty. The couch and floor had dog hair all over it and it was all over our clothes after sitting on the couch. I tried to contact the host immediately with photos & got no response. There was an empty laundry detergent bottle so I had to go & purchase my own just to have clean sheets & towels. Once clean I placed a blanket onto the couch to try to keep hair off of our clothes.
I contacted VRBO after check out and sent in photos of the home when I arrived and was advised that I would get a resolution. I then got an email stating that the host requested that I pay more since I brought a pet onto the property, but I did not bring any pets onto the property. I do not even own a pet. There is however a pet in the listing photo. The host refused to refund the $50 cleaning fee and VRBO stated that there is nothing they can do to help and that all I can do is leave a negative review since the host will not cooperate even though I sent photos in of the home not being cleaned. 0/10 experience unfortunately. Also, it doesn’t appear that the house code changes, which made me extremely uncomfortable so there’s no telling who was in the home before my arrival. I would not recommend this home or host. Initially I thought this would be a lovely home and a good overnight stay, but it was most definitely not. Not a good experience at all, would absolutely not recommend.
I really enjoyed my time here with my sister. I truly loved the coziness of this home . It was walking distance to downtown with wonderful restaurants and the bridge over Tennessee river, be sure to travel the 1.7 miles over the bridge for more great food and shopping . Will definitely stay here again.
Great place and convenient location for anything you want to do on the riverfront. We made dinner the first night and breakfast and coffee a couple of days -kitchen has everything you need.
Me, my wife, toddler, and baby stayed here and it was perfect for us. I think some of the complaints are a little harsh on the property to be honest. I was hesitant because of the reviews, but the property exceeded my expectations. I can see where people are coming from on a cleanliness perspective, but it’s an old house. The location is excellent, safe neighborhood, two blocks from an amazing park and fun things to do. The house is older, but it had a home feel. I don’t think the place deserves anything less than 4 stars. I gave them 4 out of 5 because the owner was very responsive, the area is safe, and everything around the house like parks, bars, restaurants, were so close. I would highly recommend, but it is an older house and if you are looking for something more modern, it might not be a great fit for you. All and all we will stay here again when we come back to Chattanooga.
Very well kept cute house in a good neighborhood....very close to things we wanted to do. It was clean and had tons of charm. The host was the best!!! I Would absolutely live there not just visit again!!!
Great place to stay, super cute and quiet neighborhood. Would def recommend and stay again

Throw blanket
It would have been nice to have better towels and a couple throw blankets or a light bed blanket instead of just the comforter. So overall good stay just low on creature comforts. The bathroom had a dirty wash cloth in it and wasn’t the cleanest.
Overall it was a great value. The location was fantastic - walkable to almost all activities (if it hadn't been so hot!). My toddler loved going for walks in the neighborhood. House itself was fine, though be aware of the steep/uneven concrete steps up to the house and tight driveway (would have been very tough with two carseats). Had everything we needed.

Great Location Dirty House
With mixed reviews, we decided to give this place a try because of location. Location is great, house is charming but it is dirty. If you can’t overlook cobwebs and crusted food, don’t stay here. We cleaned the dishes we wanted to use and just hand washed after every meal. Ignored the rest. We also brought our own frying pan so we did have something decent to cook with. If I come back to Chattanooga, I’ll look for another location.
Overall everything was pretty good. The location is nice and an easy walk to a few restaurants and the Walnut Street Bridge.
The house could use some updating and painting. Nothing that really effected our stay, but could have made a nicer impression. A few places the flooring should be replaced, but instead a rug is placed over the spot. There is painting & trim work inside and on the porch that could be addressed.
The washer & dryer were very nice (just remember to clean out the lint). Didn't use or need to use the dish washer (not anchored well) or the oven (door looked like the hing was a bit off). Stove top worked well. Fridge was in good shape & clean. No ice maker but plenty of ice trays. Filtered water on the sink was nice. Beds were comfortable and a/c worked well.
Good variety of dishes, utensils, cups & pans.
Drive way is a bit steep but we just used our emergency break to assure no rolling back.
We would stay again.
