"Had a lovely say this week at Chez Mathilde. It was chosen for the peace and quiet and because of the lovely cosy feel of the property. It was just the right distance for us to explore the forts and bunkers around Verdun. The gite itself, had everything we needed including a wood burning fire. Annie was lovely and made us a quiche, which was the best I have eaten. If we go back to this region again, we will defiantly be booking Chez Mathilde again."

"Het voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen. Een zeer rustig dorpje met aardige mensen. Veel natuur en geen lichtvervuiling in de nacht. Stadjes en supermarkten in de buurt, 15-30 minuten. De gites is berekend op ca 6 personen en ruim voorzien van servies en bestek. Er was een overvloed aan keukengerei wat fijn was voor de chef ;)"

"Voulant marcher sur les traces de mon grand-père poilu de la grande guerre, ce gîte est un cantonnement idéalement placé, car très proche des champs de batailles. Très bien reçus et conseillés, nous avons apprécié le calme et la sérénité de notre séjour et du lieu. Village authentique."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house which is very homely & really well equipped. We loved all the little extras provided. The house is really convenient for exploring the Verdun battlefield which has a wealth of things to see including the excellent Verdun memorial"
