Very kind host, house was gross
I stayed here with my family the night before my wedding, and the host was very kind in allowing us to push back the check out time in the morning.
But, once we got into the house, we realized it was dirty. The floors were dirty and sticky in some places, counters hadn’t been wiped down, and there was a horrible rotten milk smell coming from the kitchen that you could smell from the entire downstairs.
We figured out the smell was coming from the fridge and there was old food in there & it was very unclean.
We got in late that night and had to be up at 4:00 the next morning, so it was really disappointing that we couldn’t just come in and relax, but had to take care of the smell in the fridge just so we didn’t have to gag every time we went for a drink. We didn’t contact the owners, because we just wanted to go to bed and didn’t want to have to deal with this the night before my wedding when we wanted a simple and easy place to stay.
I would not recommend, unless they have changed whoever they go to for cleaning services.
