Blue Heron Bliss: Your Romantic Waterfront Retreat on Lake Norman

Wake up to the sunrise over the water in Blue Heron Bliss, a spacious waterfront home on the serene shores of Lake Norman, This enchanting retreat, with elevated views, comfortable hosts 15 guests across 5 luxurious bedrooms. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating or simply basking in the scenic beauty from your private deck or patio, complete with a cozy fire pit.

MAIN FLOOR:

Enter through the front door and be greeted by a floor- to ceiling- stone fireplace in the large and beautifully furnished living room, framed by arched glass double doors leading to a full-width deck with nothing but spectacular views of the lake. Adjacent to this cozy space is a large open modern kitchen, fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and cooking essentials, alongside a spacious dining area. Fancy dining alfresco? Step out onto the deck with a BBQ and ample seating.

Master Suite: King bed, TV, large ensuite bathroom and direct deck access
Twin bedroom: Set of twin/twin bunk bed and a twin trundle bed, windows and door for deck access
Queen bedroom: Queen bed, door for deck access, shares hallway bathroom with twin bedroom

DOWNSTAIRS:

The massive family room offers more stunning lake views through glass doors. Relax on the comfy leather sectional, enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and watch your favorite shows on the large TV. This level also includes a kitchenette and full bathroom. You will also find an arcade game for some family friendly competition!

King bedroom: King bed, TV, ensuite bathroom and patio access
Bunk bedroom: 2 sets of twin/twin bunk beds, shares hallway bathroom and patio access

OUTDOORS:

On the lake side, you'll find a charming, furnished patio leading to a gently sloping lawn down to your private dock on Lake Norman. Gather around the fire pit in the cozy loungers for a tranquil night by the water.

Great family getaway and retreat
We've been coming to Lake Norman every other year since 2013 and this was our overall favorite home we've rented on the lake! It was large enough to accommodate our entire family, was well appointed with everything we need, gorgeous big views of the lake, excellent dock. We hope we can rent this one again in 2026!

Great location
We stayed here for the week after July 4th. The location was exactly what we needed, a quiet section on Lake Norman. We rented a boat and spent every day on the water. The house dock was great to just relax on and read a book. We were visited by a friendly turtle, osprey, blue birds and the occasional deer! The house itself was very spacious, clean and had more than enough room for us. Every room had a great view of the lake. We would certainly book here again.

Most relaxing vacation ever
We loved our vacation house on beautiful Lake Norman. The house was perfect with so much to do for everyone that vacationed with us. We had 5 kids (age range from 16-25) and my Dad (we celebrated his 80th birthday while there). There was always something to do or a place to do nothing at all. The house was so clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views
Warm and welcoming great room perfect for gathering with family. Basement rec room was great for the kids. Continuous view on the backside of the house of the beautiful blue waters of the lake was really lovely! Only complaint was the dock and ramp with smaller children. Very easy for them to slip through if they try to hold on to the rail system, or there was no railing at all. Be careful!

What a gorgeous property! The house had absolutely everything we could have needed. The two kayaks and paddle boards were amazing to have right at the house. The views are incredible, we spent so much time on the dock—you get such an awesome view of the lake!

The property totally lived up to the pictures. Great view, comfortable rooms, well furnished. We’ve been renting vacation houses for 20+ years. Blue Heron Bliss is one of the best. The pantry stocked with essential spices was a nice plus.

Such a great house! Nine of us of ages ranging from 1 to 74 stayed and had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for everyone. Great layout. Clean, new looking large dock with plenty of space to lounge. We would definitely stay again!

Our second stay!
We stayed at this house last year and loved it enough to come back! We highly recommend! The big reason is the great amount of hang out space. The main floor is an open floor plan with a wonderful amount of seating in the great room, the kitchen table seats 8 which is hard to find, and a large, well equiped kitchen! The downstairs is plenty of additional hang space! It's very clean with hotel level towels in the bathroom! We hope to return next year!

We stayed at this property as a group for a convention in Charlotte. The lake is beautiful and the surrounding area is very nice. The host provided supplies for s’mores, which we enjoyed lakeside on our final night. The location is amazing and the house was very nice, clean, and spacious. Best vacation rental yet!
The home is beautiful, spacious, and well decorated. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Because of family dietary restrictions we cooked all our meals there. Our teenagers loved the lakefront local and the boat we rented. The adults enjoyed the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Thumbs up from the whole family.

Absolute Perfection!
This property was absolute perfection. The house was clean, well appointed, and absolutely beautiful. The location on the lake was convenient to everything both by car or water. Having the dock for keeping our boat was wonderful and the kids enjoyed swimming from it. We stayed with one other family and easily could have had 3 families there and still would have had plenty of space. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

wonderful long weekend with family
