Azalea Retreat - The Lodge genuinely has the best views on the lake! With 150 feet of shoreline, lake views are easily accessible from any point of the home and property. This lakeside three story log cabin features floor to ceiling windows along the whole back complete with a wrap around deck, which extends the entire length of the house on the main level and lower level. This special Lake Norman find was renovated in 2019 including new kitchen appliances, countertops and new bathrooms in the lower level. The house features all new furniture and linens!

This exquisite custom log cabin is built on the shores of Lake Norman. The 2 acre property greets each guest with pathways to the water, complete with your own private dock. Azalea Retreat-The Lodge has a brand new communal pool, shared with our other house Azalea Retreat- The Cottage. The pool is shared with each house having designated lounging areas.
Upon entering your lakeside log cabin, you are greeted with a full wood foyer, wood beam ceilings, Italian tile lined walls and of course unbelievable views of the lake! You immediately get a feel for the open concept living as you walk past the foyer into the 2 story living room, kitchen and dining area. The main living area is furnished with large leather sofas, guaranteeing comfort for your stay. Your log cabin has the utmost homey feel with the 2 story custom stone wood fireplace. This main level living area provides two separate seating areas - be sure to soak in the lake views, catch a movie, or enjoy the fire.
The kitchen features all new appliances, a large island with new granite. Bar seating is available, but don't overlook the large dining table with seating for 10 and a large antler chandelier to complete the log cabin experience! The kitchen is not lost on windows, a custom etched glass window features an artsy tree and lets in all the light! The kitchen is completely stocked to handle any occasion from a large holiday meal to feeding the family!
Off the main level living area is a Master Bedroom with En suite bath. The master features its own private 2 story fireplace, private sliding glass doors to the deck and providing endless views of the serene lake. The custom closet with built-ins provides plenty of room to unpack & unwind.
The custom log staircase leads you to the second story loft/seating area. Perfect for curling up with a good book to escape the crazy! The second floor features two bedrooms with queen beds and a shared full bathroom with hall access. The landing is the perfect place to catch Lake Norman's finest sunsets!
The lower level is any family's dream with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The game room does not fall short, providing skeeball, shuffleboard, custom stone fireplace, TV with XBox & not to be missed large sectional for comfort! The lower level master has a king and queen bed, its very own fire place - a completely renovated en suite bathroom with a stand alone shower and soaking tub. The lakeside bedroom is complete with 2 built in full over twin bunks, this lakeside bedroom provides a small seating area with a pull-out sofa sleeper - perfect for a giant kids sleepover! The lakeside bunk room has access to the full bathroom off the lower level living room. The final sleeping area on the lower level features 2 queen beds with a full attached bath. Sleeping options don't fall short in this Log Cabin Lodge!
The outdoor spaces at Azalea Retreat-The Lodge are nothing short of magical. The decks and lower level patio are fitted with Adirondack chairs for everyone, perfect for relaxing by the lake. There is a large outdoor stone fireplace (wood provided), perfect for S'mores at night and relaxation after fun days on the lake. Nestled between Azalea Retreat-The Cottage and Azalea Retreat-The Lodge, just above the lake is the eye-catching in-ground pool which is surrounded by an aesthetic stone landscape. Each property - The Cottage and The Lodge - will have their own personal access to the pool deck. There are plenty of chaise lounges to enjoy the sun and the magnificent Lake Norman views! Conveniently located on the dock are all of the fun lake toys which include: a kayak, a paddle board, and an assortment of life jackets. The Lodge's newest amenity is a shared Pickle Ball court with the Cottage, challenge your friends of neighbors to a game.

- If you choose to bring your own boat, there is no lift and the house is located on a busy channel.
-House has 1 kayak and 3 paddle boards for guests use
- 2 pets are allowed at this home. Pets must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $175 per pet. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- The gas fireplaces in the main level master and lower level king/queen room are not available for guest use.
- Spices/Oils, Etc: These items are not guaranteed. Sometimes they are left behind and available, but they are cleaned out regularly.
- The pool is shared with our other property, Azalea Retreat - The Cottage.
- The pool is available year-round, however, although it is not heated.
- Please note that events and parties are not allowed.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.
This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we cannot always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
