This is probably our 4th time staying at Marina Suite. We love the location and the fact that it is dog friendly. I would give our stay a 5 if it weren't for the infestation of fruit flies. Joan responded very quickly with fruit fly traps, but we still had to deal with them for our entire stay.

Home Away From Home...
We have spent several summer vacations staying in the Marina Suite. It feels like home away from home to my husband & I, as well as our standard poodle. The downtown location simply can't be beat. Shopping, beaches, restaurants, concerts in the park, glorious sunsets are all within walking distance. We highly recommend - and will certainly be back next summer!

Great place in an amazing location!
We had a wonderful stay in the Marina Suite! It was a very nice place with a patio facing the marina which we loved. The view was wonderful. Just steps from downtown Charlevoix and the beach, it was the perfect location. The suite was clean and had everything we needed for a northern Michigan getaway. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Charlevoix.

Wonderful condo in an amazing location!
This is our third year staying at the Marina Suite and we will be back again! The condo is very clean and the location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and being right on the marina is so nice. We loved sitting out on the covered patio and watching the boats. Joan was wonderful to work with as always. We will definitely be back next summer - highly recommend!

Marina Suite was one of the nicest units we have ever rented.
The furniture was beautiful, the decorating accents made it feel like home and the unit was supplied with everything you could possibly need. The view of the harbor and Marina from the patio was beautiful and the ability to walk to restaurants and shopping cannot be beat. We will definitely rent from Joan again.

Romantic getaway
What a beautiful place in the world!! My wife and would go back in a heartbeat and stay right in this same rental! Waking up and having coffee on the patio looking out over the water and boats was extremely relaxing!! The restaurants and bars within walking distance are plentiful and awesome!! The beaches are pristine and empty. Just a perfect little getaway place!

The place was great - it had everything we needed and was of exceptional quality. And staying so close to town was a HUGE plus. We had a dog so having the park right there was perfect. The only comment we have is that with the delicious French bakery above the suite, it’s a little noisy in the mornings. But all-in-all, it was excellent!

We loved the location of the marina suite. Joan is a great host. The condo is cute and has everything you need. View of the marina is beautiful as well. Master bed was comfortable and the pull out couch was also comfortable. There is a fair bit of noise from the surrounding businesses during the day, but that is the cost of being right downtown. Good tradeoff from our view and we would stay again.

Perfect location!
Our daughter was getting married at the Charlevoix Yacht club and we had a lot of boxes of decorations that had to be transported to the venue. We were on the ground floor so loading and unloading was very easy, the unit was very spacious so we weren’t crammed with all the extra boxes. The unit is tucked under a porch so there is not bright light streaming in which made it ideal for sleeping. We would definitely stay here again

We were so close to so much. Very comfortable stay. At night we were very warm but, figured the heat/ac out. Yes, the Bakery above is loud from 8a till about 3p. But, you need to check it out. The Farmers market is NOT to be missed.

What a wonderful experience. Joan Funk's Marina Apartment was exactly as advertised. The perfect location where you rise every morning to beautiful blue waters as the sun rises out of Lake Charlevoix. And the town, people, restaurants, ambiance just perfect. We stayed at the Marina Suite for 4 nights and couldn't have been more pleased! The unit was beautiful, very spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. I enjoyed my coffee on the patio each morning with a beautiful view of the marina. Having a Keurig in the unit was great. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the bath towels were the softest I have ever felt. These are small perks that set this place apart from others you will find in the area. Check-in was a breeze and Joan provided instructions and information well in advance of our visit. We loved our stay here and I highly recommend the Marina Suite.

Beware
For Large cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless. Dust on top of everything in kitchen and several spiders. The loud, crinkly bed mat was a bit much. Sits next door to a restaurant so it was loud with workers taking smoke breaks and being completely unsanitary spitting everywhere. You can also expect the banging of empty beer kegs late at night and early in the morning.
