The house was charming and beautiful, with clean rooms and a comfortable bed. We truly enjooyyed our stay other than one issue. We arrive just after 9pm, and we’re greeted by another guest who showed us to our room. We expected to be greeted by the owner to check in, but we never saw the owner. This also meant that we were not provided breakfast as promised. To make up for this, we were sent to a local breakfast joint for a free breakfast, only to discover that it was closed on Sundays. We ended up eating breakfast in Louisville, but the owner of the Governor’s Mansion reimburses is for the meal. So in the end it was no worse for wear, but it would have been nice to know this up front. Otherwise, it was a great place to spend an evening away from the city.
