"We picked this one due to the convenience of being close to the Wulingyuan national park, glass bridge, Baofeng lake, and HuangLong cave, all the main attractions you need to do - besides the epic Tianmen mountain which is located in downtown ZhangJiaJie just 30 minutes away. Hotel offers transport service from airport and park, but this is for a fee. Taxis, however, are low priced and convenient. Hotel check in team and concierge (Mark) are wonderful so make sure to check in with him for assistance with booking park tickets, restaurant recommendations, and tips on how to navigate the 4 day itinerary in the area. Massage on site is great and at reasonable cost. Rooms are slightly dated and in the wintertime, all public areas are very cold due to heat not being turned on. Only downside to our stay is the terrible breakfast. Coffee is undrinkable but manager offered better Italian style coffee from the bar. Still better off going to Luckin across the street. Dinner is equally bad, but we also preferred Cantonese options since we can't handle the seasoning of Hunan cuisine. Location of hotel can't be anymore prime, within walking distance to the main park and downtown area with Hey Tea, shopping, and other dining options. Pool looks lovely but obviously closed during winter."

"We stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie national scenic park. It’s a 5 minute walk to restaurants, 10 min drive to the park entrance, and the staff were so lovely. They provided a map of the park and explained all that there is to do in that area. They also picked me up from the train station promptly and to/from the main entrance to the park the following day. The breakfast was also amazing! "

"The services I got from this hotel has to be the best in all of the hotels I have stayed ever. From the questions I had even before arriving in Zhangjiajie, they were responded to in a timely manner and I felt the genuine urge to help. Even when I arrived, I felt the enthusiasm to help me plan my trip. I was even upgraded to a room with a view. Breakfast was also very good and huge portions. It is also just a 20 minute walk away from one of the Zhangjiajie park entrances which was really convenient. I would just say that it was hard to find the hotel (if you are using western apps)."

"Super helpful hosts with very good English. Shared excellent recommendations for visiting zhangjiajie, Tianmenshan, and local food options. Even helped me get a car when my didi wouldn’t work! Cute night market outside and not far from train station and cable cars. Note the google maps location is wrong, it’s on the other side of the river, more north. Airport pickup was super helpful. Highly recommend. "

"I got this hotel for its location for a few things I wanted to do and that was great. The room was big and comfortable but the downside for me was no mini fridge in the room and the AC wasn’t working. There are a lot of elevators, a few of them I started avoiding bc they would jolt a lot and make lots of noises which made me nervous. All the elevators were really dirty. Not exactly a dealbreaker but for the price tag, there were better expectations."

"We had a wonderful time at No. 5 from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and modern whilst being right in nature. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Frankie who went above and beyond every day even helping us organise trips and buy tickets and driving us to the entrance of the national park. He was even on hand over Alipay chat to answer questions we had whilst on day trips. Frankie’s dog was also very sweet and warmly greeted us whenever she saw us :) Yama served us wonderful tea and was fascinating to speak to. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. The surrounding area is amazing and we so enjoyed the national park, ancient town and “Grand Canyon”. "
