It is also the only property in the area off a flat road with a flat driveway making it the most assessable in the area. Try to find any other like this.

The property features 6 Beds and 4.5 baths, the house is the perfect venue for family gatherings and small group get togethers including bachelor/bachelorette parties, bridal showers and baby showers. Nestled in the perfect location in the Laurel Highlands, the house is located off Countyline Road minutes from 7 Springs Mountain Resort, 20 minutes from Ohiopyle State Park, 20 minutes to Hidden Valley Mountain Resort and 15 minutes to Frank Lloyd Wrights Falling Water.

Relax outside in our extra large hot tub or roast some s’mores over our picturesque fire pit (firewood provided) or make a pizza in the outdoor stone pizza oven! Barbecue with your choice of a commercial 6 burner propane grill or a charcoal grill (propane included). There are 2 large decks, one is covered and the other is in the sun with lounge chairs perfect for laying out on a nice day! The kitchen is extra large and it is open to the dining and downstairs living area which makes it perfect for entertaining! There are 2 main large open living spaces (one downstairs/one upstairs) perfect for giving the kids their own space. There is a large 70" TV in downstairs living room and 46" TV in upstairs living space with DVD player. Why go to the bar when you have your own full 18 ft bar with a full sized pool table. There is a mini fridge and tv in the bar area. Next to the bar is also a half bathroom. There is a laundry room in case you need to dry some ski gear. We also have an extra large ski boot dryer to keep your ski boots nice and dry for your stay! Highlands Haven is fully stocked with linens, towels and cooking supplies. Activities:
Highlands Haven is centrally located in the Laurel Highlands area which boasts a ton of outdoor and indoor activities. The house is located in the perfect location on the way from Pittsburgh to Seven Springs Mountain Resort just minutes from the ski slopes. Seven springs is a full season resort with plenty of activities for every season. In the winter, Seven Springs is a ski resort with world class snow making in case winter doesn’t cooperate. Seven Springs has several restaurants, several bars, an indoor pool, sporting clays, axe throwing, miniature golf, arcade, snowmobiling and bowling to keep you busy if ski conditions aren’t good for a day! There are 2 more small ski resorts located 20 minutes away. Hidden Valley Ski Resort and Laurel Mountain Ski Resort are smaller resorts but are perfect for beginners and teaching the little ones! The Laurel Highlands offers a ton of activities for the spring, summer and fall as well. Spring and summer activities include hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, sightseeing, golf, wineries, caverns, parks, idle wild amusement park, sporting clays, zip lines, the alpine slide, pools and atv trails. Let’s start with hiking. Popular hiking spots include the Laurel Highlands Trail, Ohiopyle State Park and Bear Run Trails. There are a ton of other trails but those are some to to check out. My favorite are the hikes are Ohiopyle! If biking is your thing, then you are at the right place. There are plenty of downhill, single track and mellow trails in the area. Seven Springs resort has a good downhill course and you can rent bikes at the resort if needed. There are also a ton of single track trails around the resort if that’s your style of biking. If you want something more mellow then head to Ohiopyle and ride the scenic more friendly trails or just down the hill along Indian Creek. Next up is whitewater rafting! Ohiopyle State Park offers 3 rivers to raft. The upper youghiougheny is advanced, the lower youghiogheny is intermediate and the middle youghiogheny is beginner so there is something for every group. If fishing is your thing then head to one of the the many creeks and rivers to to some trout fishing. If the weather is not cooperating on your getaway then maybe take a day off the outdoor activities. There are several wineries in the area to check out that offer tastings, I would recommend Stone Villa and Greendance wineries. Both wineries are 20 minutes from the house and you can easily spend a hour or 2 hanging out tasting wine and relaxing. A good family activity to do especially if it’s raining is to check out laurel caverns. Another local attraction perfect for the family is Idlewild Amusement Park which has some fun rollercoasters and is perfect for the little one. Idlewild is 30 minutes away in Ligonier which is worth stopping to check out if you go to Idlewild. Another activity which I enjoy in Laurel Highlands is sporting clays. Seven springs has an awesome course and if you want to venture out a bit, Nemacolin Resort has a good course as well. Make sure to make a reservation. Nemacolin is a 38 minutes from the house and is worth checking out if you want to see Pennsylvania’s only 5 star resort. They have a small casino which is entertaining, several beautiful golf courses and a zoo on the property. There is another small zoo called living treasures 5 minutes from the house too which is a fun family activity. The other activities worth mentioning are zip lining, the pool and the alpine slide at Seven Springs Resort. This is a good summary of the activities in the area but I have extensive knowledge of the area and I can answer any questions to help you plan out your mountain vacation!

Great Family Getaway
This place is perfect to stay and enjoy your time with family. The kitchen is huge allowing multiple people to cook at one time. The pool table was great and the ring toss was a bonus! The house was clean and well maintained. Hot tub was perfect for the cold nights, as was the fireplace. Best of all there was plenty of room for all of the family to chill and catch up. Would definitely stay again!!

Champion PA house was great!
The house was very large. Our big group had plenty of room to spread out. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Many activities were close by including Ohio Pyle State Park for rafting and hiking and Idlewild amusement park for the little ones.

Luxurious Mountain Retreat
My friends and I enjoyed a fall harvest retreat. The leaves were in full bloom. We enjoyed hiking in ohiopyle state park. We wanted to get together to preserve the harvest. We got apples from the local farm stand and lots of fresh local organic vegetables… the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We also wanted to pamper ourselves with face masques.. the hot tub a is perfect way to wind down at the end of the day. The house is so spacious. There is plenty of space for anything you’d like to do. We will definitely return.

Annual friends' trip
It was really difficult to find a house in the area for a reasonable price to accommodate 4 couples all requesting separate beds and baths! The house is very large and offers a lot of room that worked out well for our group. It is in need of some TLC and updating with worn furniture, carpet and general upkeep. The owner was very accommodating to our needs.

Great house to have a family reunion. Only disappointing thing was that the lawn wasn't mowed. Wasn't able to use it for 2 days until it was mowed. The kitchen doesn't have any foil or plastic bags so you might want to bring your own

House was great, everything was there for what we needed.
The only complaint is that the property should of have been cleaned before we got there. Seemed like it wasn’t being used much this season and the buildup of dead flys and dust was a bummer.

2023 Family Reunion
We enjoyed our time at Highlands Haven. The pool table and hot tub were a hit; the kitchen was well equipped and the second dishwasher made cleanup easy. We spent a lot of time on the covered porch when we weren't exploring all the fabulous activities in the area. Ohiopyle and Laurel Hills state parks were within a half hour drive. Living Treasures animal park is amazing. Greendance winery is so much more than a winery; we loved it! The open floor plan is unique; however, the loft bedroom is not a quiet room; something to consider if the young ones' bedtime is before the rest of the guests. Plenty of bedrooms with comfortable beds and enough bathrooms that no one had to wait for an empty one. House was clean; needs a few updates but I would rent again.

House is great
The house was awesome. Perfect set up and a great house for a short or long term stay. I don’t suggest using the house for a bridal party to get ready for my wedding like we did. Once the photographer and videographer came to the house, parking got to be a little much and the Nero HH of lady across the street knocked on the door with a bad attitude and said her boyfriend owns this property and she’s going to get him if cars don’t move off the street. That truly is my only compliant about the stay.

Highland Haven Days
This home has many amenities. The location is wonderful for our group that enjoys solitude and a large property. We usually spend most of our time outdoors around a table, fire, eating and enjoying each others company. We are usually a group of 10-12 older adults. This year was a little cold to be outside a lot. So we stayed in played pool and watched sports. We found the couches to be extremely uncomfortable and sat on the kitchen chairs for most of the time. Upgrading the couches is highly suggested. Other than that. All else was wonderful. A nice rental in a great area. This is our second year at this location and will definitely consider it in the future. The host was very responsive. The house is a unique design and meet all out needs.

Comfortable fully equipped house in the woods
This well-maintained house has everything you could possibly want. It has a large kitchen with every kind of appliance, pan, dish or utensil you might need. There's a hot tub outside and jacuzzi inside. The beds and linens were great. The room with the wet bar has a pool table and full size refrigerator. You can lounge on the huge deck or eat on the covered porch. There was extra propane for the gas grill or you may use the charcoal grill. For rainy days there are board games and jigsaw puzzles. One minor disappointment was that the internet connection is slow - bring a Hotpot or just forget about work for a few days. We had a great week.

Septic system
We had a terrible experience. The septic system backed up in the middle of our stay, leaked into the bedroom and we had to leave the property. The owner said he would refund our money, but never did. We gave him a month to make good on his promises and he never followed through

Good stay with short comings
The cleanliness of the house was impeccable. House keeping did a great job! - The carpet was in need of replacement. - The air conditioning was broken. Took two days to get something done that made it livable. The maintenance man worked into the night to troubleshoot and attempt to fix the problem. In the end it need a board that could not be acquired in short order. So the owner installed floor unites in the two bedrooms affected most. - There was a damaged track light down stairs hanging by the electrical wire. The maintenance man that was there to look after the A/C took care of it immediately. - The web site stated there were bunk beds but there were none. We were counting on them. Luckily we were prepared with air mattresses. - Bees have taken up residence in the outside front wall stone work outside the "game" room. Didn't notice this until nearly the last day. Fortunately the A/C troubles were taken care in a way that didn't totally ruin our stay before the rest of our family arrived and they did have a good time. The hot tub was an unexpected treat. Enjoyed that experience after a day of hiking and waterfall sliding in the Ohiopyle state park.

Inaccurate description, overpriced, and lacking communication
The good: The location of the property is great, close to Laurel Highlands and Seven Springs. The house itself is very large, and has a good amount of outdoor gathering space. The bad: 1. The host was not communicative. I had one question about the property, which was never answered. After multiple attempts to get in touch, I got an acknowledgement of my reservation, but nothing else. I was starting to get anxiety that I wouldn't even get the code to get into the house- that's how bad the communication was. 2. The description is inaccurate. There is one bedroom with a queen and twin bed. The other rooms have just one queen or one king. 3. You should be aware that you will need to bring your own firewood to use the firepit, and the pizza oven doesn't seem useable. 4. The tidy up/checkout process is lengthy and not described on the reservation page. If this were better described ahead of time I would be more understanding. 5. The beds are not great. 6. It just doesn't justify the price. The price is high for such low levels of service. Things like not having very many towels and no firewood, and no response from the owner made it feel like a 'bad deal'. It's a great area but in the future I will be looking elsewhere.

Pictures don’t do it justice!
This home is in a great location! Very convenient to Seven Springs and better still, easy access to the house. Right off the main road with a level and wide driveway. We saw many homes that had very sloped driveways that would’ve been hard for her SUVs that do not have four-wheel-drive. It was not a problem here! When we entered the home, we knew this was going to be fun! Unfortunately, it rained, With a heavy and cold wind, for the four days we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the outside amenities at the house. The outdoor oven, hot tub, covered porch, and fire pit looked awesome, as well as the large backyard. This would’ve been a wonderful place to enjoy making snow angels and snowmen for my grandchildren from South Carolina, so we were disappointed in the weather. However, there were enough games in the house, and with the pool table/bar area, when we were there, there was plenty to do. The kitchen was as well stocked as any home we have ever stayed in. There were plenty of pots and pans, dishes and glasses, and two separate dishwashers. The furniture, although a little worn, was big and comfy. There were plenty of bathrooms for everyone, and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very generous with the paper products and between them and the neighbor nearby, we felt as though if we needed anything they would have accommodated us. However, we did not need a thing! We would definitely stay here again! By the way, the weather was hard rains through the night and highs in the 40s with lows in the 30s. We were shocked that our grandkids and son and daughter-in-law were still able to enjoy tubing and the man-made snow at the ski resort. We had a very good trip with good luck in that the sky seem to clear for them to get those adventures in, even though it had rained so hard. Everyone we met kept talking about how unusually warm and rainy it was while we were there. Seven Springs did an awesome job grooming the available slopes and our family of beginners were able to do everything that they would have done had there been 12 inches of snow on the ground at the resort. We felt blessed with how the trip went considering the weather, and this home was a big part of that!
