Over-rated and selling a concept that was not fulfilled
We chose this hotel because of its location and that it advertized itself as a very charming and luxurious place with great wines, wine bar and other items. However, it was not up to its advertisment. Many aspects showed a lack of care and attention to detail. For example they proudly told us that there were bikes to tour the surrounding vineyards but when we went to use them all the female bikes had flat tires and on some the brakes were not functional. We were told that this would be fixed but it never happened. The wine bar was also a great disappointment, only selling at high prices the left overs from the days tastings of newly bottle wine. Some good things were that the rooms were clean and after an upgrade comfortable and the breakfast while expensive, was good. However, a lot of hype and poor delivery. i would not recommmend this chateau.
