"Nice little Hotel, room was clean and fresh and the staff were very friendly. It was our first time here and were pleasantly surprised. Good location just off the N10 and just right for an overnight stay on our way to Spain. Will definitely put this on our favourites list "

"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from reception which is a minor but unnecessary inconvenience. The rooms were spotless, as were the interestingly decorated communal areas. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very standard and not so well maintained if you don’t get there first thing. Oddly, they serve your coffee in a jug with no top which means it goes cold very quickly which is very frustrating. "

"The house is very beautiful- however it has been totally bodged and feels unloved and badly maintained The two main problems were the dark green filthy pool and the 3rd bathroom being flooded and unusable The host asked us for a cash sum of €215 if we wanted sheets and"

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very quiet and clean. The only negative I would say is vegetarian options for breakfast. But apart from that pleasant stay "

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs, we bought some cheap ones and left them behind! All in all a great holuday and would consider a return visit. "

"Thank you for a lovely stay in the house. The kids enjoyed the sports facilities and the development is peaceful and secure. Spacious garden and house, even for 5 of us and the house could have still been comfortable with more people. Great location, close to shops etc., but still a quiet location surrounded by sunflowers. "We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "
