"Only con about the place is that the walls are paper thin. Bring ear plugs! Apparently roosters don’t only crow during sunrise, they crow all night! And they’re not the only ones. You can hear absolutely everything that is happening outside. But don’t let that deter you from this place. Seems like every hotel in that area is paper thin. It’s a very nice one bedroom apartment that has everything you’ll need. It’s also located near everything. I didn’t realize how tiny the town of Casco Viejo was....

"This was a great location near the plaza, which made it easily accessible to food and shopping. We walked in the apartment and literally fell in love. The decor was nice the, mattresses were comfortable, and it was extremely clean. The balcony views were aesthetically pleasing as well. We had everything we needed there. The host made sure to reach out and let us know they we could contact them about any concerns and needs we might have. It was a perfect location, and a perfect stay."

"It is an ideal location if you want to experience all the surrounding excitement and culture of Panama City."

"We enjoyed our short 2 day stay here. Apartment had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Was quick walking distance to great coffee shops and only steps away from a delightful restaurant, LAMRO. Communication with the property was efficient and check in was smooth and easy. As it is located a little off the beaten path, be prepared for “rustic” surroundings. With that, we never felt unsafe at any point."

"The interior of the apartment was excellent, had all the necessities including hot water and air conditioning. There was a full kitchen, 2 private bedrooms with nice linens and walk out balconies. Easy aceess, but difficult to find, needs a bigger sign."

"Could not locate property on google maps, address provided waa incorrect. It took us 2.5 hours to finally contact the property manager and that tooo with the help of another hotel , yhere was no email or text with the needed access code or instructions. The room is next to a couple of discos blasting music till 4am "

"Incredibly loud children’s party in courtyard. So loud that it was difficult to communicate with the person next to me. Rooms face courtyard. The young man who checked me in was rude and unhelpful. He was totally lacking in social grace. I left and found a great alternative. "

"Professionally hosted. Clean and spacious studio unit with full kitchen, bathroom, and bed. Close to everything in Casco Viejo. Best value for the money. However, it is at the end of the gentrified area and next to two nightclubs. It gets really noisy."

"We had a great stay at Casa Mallet. Great location, decorated beautifully, and nice roof deck. Our only complaint is that is it very musty/moldy smelling which made our clothes smell like that as well. When we came in the AC was off so I think that probably contributed to it. Otherwise super cute space l."

"This was a great location in Casco Viejo. Close to grocery, restaurants, bars. Very walkable. Close to the malecon for jogging / walking. Rooftop pool and deck perfect for sunrise / sunset. Unit had everything we needed. Only negative was we asked for an extra blanket and were told that was not available. "

"Comfortable bed and living room area. Kitchen could use more utensils etc but it worked. Bonus to have a washer and dryer. We had some problems with the on-demand hot water but were able to overcome that. (The manager is aware.) Good internet! Rooftop pool with a nice view. Convenient location. Easy walking distance to a large grocery store and several restaurants. Uber rides easy to find. We would stay there again. Overall a good stay. "

"The apartment itself was very nice, very spacious, clean, newer furniture. Just know it’s on the third floor and there is no elevator. I didn’t see a sign on the building so it was a bit tricky to figure out which door to go to after being dropped off by the Uber. Email communication from property with building entry code and picture of the property was helpful. "This was a beautiful property when it comes to been in the clouds and as close to nature as possible. The wind is loud at nighttime and whistles through the house all night; making it difficult to sleep. I booked through Expedia and the owner said she did not receive my reservation. I had made this reservation a month before travel to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday. I am glad she was able to find accommodations for us and my family loved waking up in nature everyday. "We were a group of 5 adults and one 10 year old. There was something for all of us! The property, its price, accommodations and the staff are outstanding. This Marriott Hotel is not in the heart of Panama City, Casco Viejo or other touristy areas (about 20 minutes drive) but if you are leasing an automobile, parking is easy, only $10 per day and the highways are a few meters away. There is a bit of bumper to bumper situation when you leave the hotel during the week as the Busses Terminal is next to the hotel and there is only that route to leave the property. But this was negligible. The return is easy, right off the highway. However, this hotel is situated next to the largest mall in South America, and that was a fun choice with many stores and restaurants. Make sure to eat at the hotel - great buffet spread! Also, delicious food at the Bistro Cafe right off the hotel elevators and a step down into the mall (we ate there all of our breakfasts). Also great, dinner at the beautiful Ancon Hill Restaurant in the hotel. All great! If we return to Panama, we will definitely with no hesitation will stay at this Marriott."
