"Absolutely amazing. Dead-center of everything you'll want to see and do in Valparaiso. If you can, get a room with the terrace view, which provides direct access to the stairs to the roof and its stunning 360 degree views. The couple that runs this place are just lovely and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Our only complaint was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. A lot of the restaurants in the area served huge portions, and we had nowhere to put the leftovers."

"We stayed here two nights. We are Americans used to boring, run-of-the-mill hotels with no character and neutral staff who don’t like the guests. This was a lovely break from our norm. "Location is amazing! Right in the heart of the greatest parts of Valparaiso. The hotel is very simple, but just what I needed for the few days I stayed there. It's a safe hotel because someone is always around at the front door. You do need to often ring the doorbell to get in, but the owner comes to get you very quickly. He is also so helpful and will guide you wherever you need to go in the city. Recommend to the solo traveler!"
