"This is an excellent holiday property. You climb up to it via hairpin bends so take your time and just let the locals pass you in thier Fiat Pandas. "It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. "The property is amazing, loads of space for 4 adults, comfortable and the views are fantastic. The pool was wonderful and Mirko (the property manager) was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have hot water in one of the showers at first, but he fixed the issue relatively quickly. The only downside is the track to the house. It is steep and very bumpy. We were aware of this but even so, the drive was not for the faint hearted!"

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive.
