"Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. "We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Room is small but it did the job, bed sheets not the most comfortable but mattress good, shower nice and very clean. Faro is small so it’s within 5 minutes to everything. WiFi and tea available for free. Staff were lovely, when we got locked out at 2am she came with no complaint to come and let us in. "

"Perfect location with easy walking access to all. Theres a delicious inexpensive restaurant right across the street. Other restaurants you can walk to as well, and the town is perfect and not too crowded and overrun, like some of the other Algarve areas. The beach and Algar Seco are approx 10minutes walk away. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. the room has an air conditioning unit. Very nice terrace just outside the room. The room is Nicely updated and attractive looking....

"Basic accommodation. Needs a mirror in the room, a little more heating in the rooms during the winter months, terrace wasn't as beautiful as what it shows in the photo. Beds were so comfy and cosy!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Fab 4 day trip. Really loved the freedom of self check in/keypad entry. Stayed on ground floor, Room 1. It was clean and spacious. Found the fridge very handy. On the top floor the pool area was spotless and very private. Would stay again. Highly recommend."

"This is not a hotel. The description on Expedia was very misleading. When we booked a deluxe room we thought it was a hotel but in actual fact it was a room in a shared apartment wihin a very private residential block. We arrived late evening and spent a few hours trying to locate the property as no directions had been given Several very kind locals tried to help us and we kept coming back to the door of what looked like a residential aparment with zero signage. "A great find. Only 500m from airport so walkable (though we did have a car). Free parking on site and breakfast included in cost of room. Room was very clean with a great shower. Good breakfast selection in clean and tidy breakfast room. Clean swimming pool (didn’t use as February) if you have children with you. Next door was good restaurant that served Indian, Portuguese, Chinese and Pizza/Pasta so covered all the bases. A great hotel if you have an early flight or late arrival (as we did). We used as a base to explore Faro and Tavira. Also free wi-fi. "
