"A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The service from staff has been exemplary, with particular regard for David (in the restaurant) and Sequoia (uncertain spelling, on reception). They, and others have been great advisers to first-time visitors. Other staff were excellent in minor interactions. Our only complaint would be about the delay with check-in procedures, but that was soon dismissed by us. We will be back... "We (Elderly parents + adult daughter) stayed at La Loma for 2 weeks in Sep 2024. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and we had a good time with fantastic weather. Good Points: 1. An attractive villa in a great setting; Stunning views and good walks (mostly on the roads). 2. Good hot water. 3. Traffic on the mountain roads always drove slowly (circa 30 KPH) and were always very friendly. 4. Good walking on the local roads and tracks. Less Good Points 1. NO WiFi !! 2. Swimming Pool looks bigger in the photos that it actually is. In addition NOT child friendly as no shallow end and min depth is approx 1.5m. Also very visable to surrounding area due to its height. 3. No Villa File - General Instructions, Emergency contacts, Supermarkets, Areas of Interest, local recommended restaurants, etc. Check in consisted only of unlocking the doors and photographing passports! No advice on rubbish disposal or recycling rules/requirements. No written Instructions on how to get to the villa; Only a google map 'Pin Drop' Whats App Message. Fortunately our daughter (and now I can) was able to sort this! 4. Furnishings limited - no bedroom chairs; one bedroom with 2 x double beds had no furniture at all apart from the beds; bedsite lights very low powered. Fans noisey. Cutlery limited; No coffee or Tea pots. 5, External/Pool furniture very limited for a villa supposedly accomodating 9 people (in reality 7) and loungers very uncomfortable. Also, the flower pots shown in the photos, are no longer ar"

"We loved staying at Manuel and Noemi’s beautiful Villa. It has fantastic facilities and a stunning pool which we loved. We found many lovely restaurants in Vinuela and Alcaucin. We also visited many other white washed villages and made the trips to Granada and Ronda. Comfortable beds and super showers, we will be back soon."

"Amazing house, pool and multiple areas to sit and relax and enjoy the incredible views. The house had everything you needed to make it feel like home and the gas barbecue was a bonus. The location manager was very friendly, polite and efficient. Can't really find anything negative to say and it is certainly on our list of places we would go back to. "We booked Casa Alegre for six weeks and what a wonderful time we had. The property and pool were maintained to a very high standard, and the villa had all the amenities you could possibly want for a lovely peaceful vacation. The owners and their son Tom who was our host were exceptionally helpful and they all made our stay at Casa Alegre a very happy one. We would recommend the villa to anyone looking for a luxury villa in the most beautiful, peaceful surroundings. "We had a fabulous family holiday at what was a clean and modern apartment with all the mod-cons that you could ask for. The views across the mountains were truly spectacular because of the elevated position and we would never get sick of them, and the terrace at the rear is amazing, day and night! The side road in was an eye opener but you just need to take it easy (Dont turn right out of the villa unless 'you literally live on the edge' :-) Doris who owns the property was wonderful, couldnt do enough for us, gave lots of local info and was on hand to clean the pool after some high winds that blew leaves and dust in. The pool was great and we all spent a lot of time in it. All in all it was a brilliant stay, we didnt want to leave and this property is recommended. Tip - Best to use the supermarkets in Velez, as MUCH cheaper than nearby. Thanks Dori"
