Holiday home of dreams
Incredible stay at black bear lodge. Perfectly nestled in the trees, the lodge had everything you could need and was very clean. The bedrooms were well appointed and the living space with the log fires in the lounge and kitchen were dreamy. We had a wonderful stay and communication was excellent the entire time. We felt away from it all yet had so much opportunity for walks all around us. The guest book was filled with excellent examples and ideas of things to do and it was evident just how loved the lodge was by every visitor. We would 100% stay here again. It was the highlight of our 2 weeks in the USA.

Great getaway
Enjoyed a very peaceful weekend away. This cabin has a very rustic and classic NH feel. The host was extremely helpful. Went into North Conway a few times which is a quick 20 min drive.

A cozy rustic cabin
From the outside this is an adorable log cabin that is on a slight turn in the road - so easy to miss. It's set back a bit giving you privacy in the backyard. The house is slightly oddly laid out and I was hoping for a 1st floor master (which I thought there was from the photos) only to find a single bed with a trundle downstairs. The kitchen while well appointed with tools for cooking lacks light. The temperature was warmer so some of the bedrooms felt stuffy but there were windows that had to be used gingerly. There is a lovely screened porch that is ideal for your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine and enjoy nature while being protected from weather or bugs. There is a smaller cabin in the backyard, hidden in the trees that the caretaker stays in, which is fine as she is accessible but she also shares the driveway so you occasionally see her going back and forth. The cabin is very accessible to Conway, Freyburg as well as to marked trails for hiking, however, you do have to drive to those locations (I wouldn't recommend walking on the road as there was moderate traffic).

A very cute cabin, All the towels and linen appeared brand new. There is a full bathroom and bedroom on the 1st floor. The only wish is that they had more fans or a window ac.

Amazing Log Cabin Experience!
This was our very first experience renting a vacation home and this log cabin was just amazing! I stayed here with my husband, daughter, son in law, two grandsons (ages 8 and 4) and our two dogs. This cabin had all the warmth and charm I ever could have hoped for…and was just perfect in every way! It was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed along with every possible kitchen tool/utensil/pot and pan etc., that you could ask for. Martin, the owner, even had a new Keurig delivered to the cabin before we arrived. The bathrooms were stocked with fresh towels and even soaps, shampoos, conditioners, which were a nice surprise! There was plenty of room for all of us…the kids and dogs had a great time running and playing in the large yard. This cabin was very close to our destination which was Storyland. We had a couple of hiccups when we first arrived and had to contact the Evolve for help. Evolve was very attentive and helpful putting us in touch with Martin. Martin was also extremely helpful with getting the internet up and running for us. We were so happy with our choice, we really hated to leave. I want to thank Martin very much for making my first rental such a positive experience. I will definitely rent from him again. ~ Gail S.

Perfect Hideaway Vacation
My family and I (including 1 dog) felt relaxed and adventurous in Black Bear Lodge. It is the perfect combo of modern comforts and minimal log cabin living. There is a good sized yard to play lawn games and two porches (one screened in) for enjoying time outside. The kitchen is large and well stocked. Washer and dryer seemed new. Martin is a great host who is eager to share info about the area, supportive when questions came up, and easily available by text. A variety of hikes easily are accessible by car.
