Nestled between the sea and the forest, the villa offers an enchanting panorama that spans a gulf bordered by Cefalù promontory and Pollina promontory .
At a short distance from the small and friendly hamlet of St. Ambrogio, the property is located within the Natural Park of the Madonie, in a environment still intact, rich in Mediterranean vegetation.
Ideal for a relaxing stay in the middle of nature, in a corner of paradise suspended between the forest named 'bosco Guarnieri' and the sea .
The villa is decorated with a comfortable and a large infinity pool, facing the sea.
Surrounded by a large garden, the house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, a relaxation area, a large roof terrace and two kitchens, one external with an outdoor barbecue and pizza oven and one internal with fridge and freezer, gas coocker, electric oven, and other conforts.

Fantastic place to stay.
We had a fabulous time. The drive up the mountain, especially in the dark, was a bit daunting. However, the view when you get there is out of this world. Angelo was the perfect host. Any queries were answered immediately. I would highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful secluded villa with sprawling views
We had a wonderful week at this property, tucked away in a nature reserve overlooking the see and Cefalú. Angelo was very prompt getting back to us when we had questions and led us to the villa from a meeting point. As the other guests said the drive is not for the faint hearted, but we managed with a small Lancia. The village of Sant Ambrogio below has a couple of lovely restaurants and a small shop we walked a couple of times, which makes good exercise -, but for a bigger supermarket you'll need to drive to Cefalu. The villa has everything you need, including a gas barbecue. We can highly recommend this villa, you can see the sunrise ans sunset, and on clear nights we could do stargazing and see Venus.

We stayed in the villa for a week in June and it is a perfect holiday retreat. The terrace and infinity pool are deeply relaxing and luxurious, surrounded in tranquil countryside. The villa itself is lovely, very well equipped and calm. Everything you could need is there from free wifi to an outdoor kitchen if you want to have a BBQ. Angelo is a great host supported by Ernesto the caretaker of the villa who is very helpful - all the communication was clear and timely. Nearby Cefalu is beautiful reached by an amazing coast road. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Excellent hoste and villa, pool amazing, View amazing. Quiet and remote. Village lovely with a few excellent restaurants and bars. Quite high on hillside, car a must as walk up to villa is steep. Overall had a really nice stay. Cefalu only a 15mins drive.

Perfect Villa
A wonderful experience. Angelo met us and guided us to the villa. As mentioned in other reviews it is close to Sant' Ambrogio but still remote enough to ensure privacy. The villa has everything you need. The views are stunning and the sunrises and sunsets truly exceptional. Take time to explore the area - Cefalu is beautiful and not overcrowded in October, and a trip to the hills is not to be missed. Angelo is a great host and Ernesto couldn't be more helpful. Thankyou.

Peaceful beautiful villa
Immaculate villa with amazing views. Ernesto and Angelo could not have done more to make the stay as pleasurable as possible. Special thanks to Ernesto for the morning pastry from Cefalù and Angelo for accomodating the early check in. As other guests have noted the road up is a bit steep and narrow but worth it once you are up!

Spectacular! Peaceful!
My wife daughter and I stayed here for a week in late spring of 2018. The property has an incredible location high up on a hillside looking over the Mediterranean towards Cefalù to the west and the Aeolian Islands to the north. Really breathtaking. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Angelo was extremely friendly and helpful with all of the arrangements. His local property manager Ernesto came by immediately when there was some minor damage after a thunderstorm. Ernesto was also very kind and took us on a great trip into the hills to see ricotta being made by hand on a goat farm. We really felt very well taken care of and enjoyed the week very much. Only one footnote ... driving up to the property is quite challenging on very steep roads and tracks. It’s fun but I was glad to have a stick shift ... and I preferred to make the drive back to the property before it got too dark. Thank you Angelo (and Ernesto) for a really amazing and memorable week.

A beautiful property in a stunning location
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week staying at Mathilda's Dream. The villa is stunning and had everything we needed. Angelo provided clear instructions in advance of our visit and met us as planned to show the route to the villa. The road is steep but it is worth it for such a fabulous view and peaceful setting. On the clear days we could see the Aeolian Islands and the sunsets over La Rocca of Cefalu were beautiful. Angelo was very welcoming, providing useful information and kindly leaving us some provisions and encouraging us to pick fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the pool, but managed trips out to the beach and restaurants in Cefalu, as well as into the Madonie mountains and to the pizzeria in the local village of Sant'Ambrogio. On the first morning of our stay we had a problem getting hot water but within a few minutes of contacting Angelo he had arranged for the maintenance man Ernesto to visit and it was sorted immediately. We would certainly recommend this property.

Amazing!
My wife and I stayed at Angelo's house for 3 nights during our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. Angelo was great at coordinating a place to meet ahead of time and was very thorough and welcoming in showing us his house. The location and views from this house cannot be beat - my wife and I kept saying to each other how surreal it was looking over the pool out into the ocean. The drive to the top of the house is not for the faint of heart but makes the experience all the more worth it as you feel like you are the only one on the mountain side. Angelo was very accommodating and responsive throughout the entire stay and handpicked roses from the garden for my wife to take with her as we left. The indoor and outdoor kitchen area / wood fire grill made enjoying the local cuisine very unique - we even cooked a pizza in the wood fire oven. The olive oil in the house was from the olive trees outside and Angelo encouraged us to pick lettuce and fruits/ vegetables that were ripe from their organic gardens. We had such a blessed time here and would recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful villa in a lovely setting
Our host was gracious and helpful throughout our stay, offering suggestions for local restaurants and activities. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. The views of the Mediterranean and the beautifully maintained property were highlights of our family vacation. The owner could not have been more welcoming or kinder. We would love to return for another visit - in the warm months perhaps - to explore more of the surrounding area. Grazie mille for a perfect setting for our holiday!

Complete tranquility
Absolutely beautiful villa with the most stunning panoramic views. You can watch the sunrise and the sunset from the pool area. The house is modern, very clean and everything you could possibly need is there for you. The host Angelo was very welcoming and helpful. It was our first trip to Sicily and we fell in love with it, the scenery is breathtaking. Only an hour drive to Taormina and Syracuse (must see) and of course Mount Etna. The pizzeria in Sant Ambrogio does great takeaway pizzas and the beach there is much quieter than nearby Cefalu. Very sad to leave both the villa and the Island.

Sehr schönes Objekt mit kleinen Einschränkungen
Etwas beschwerliche Zufahrt durch den Wald, sehr gut ausgestattet mit tollem Blick. Außenanlagen und Pool ausgezeichnet, die beiden Zimmer mit Einzelbetten sind etwas dürftig, 1 Matratze davon wäre auszutauschen, leider wenig freie Ablageflächen im Haus, weil alles mit dekorativem Porzellan vollgestellt ist. Der Preis ist doch etwas überhöht.

Fantastische woning op een zeer rustige locatie!
Heerlijke woning waar je in alle rust kunt genieten van een geweldig zwembad en uitzicht. De weg erheen is wel een uitdaging, zorg dat je een auto huurt met voldoende bodemvrijheid om over de slechte wegen heen te komen! Het is een echt familiehuis met veel ruimte en goede voorzieningen. Verhuurder is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam, alles wordt geregeld om een super vakantie te bieden.

un petit coin de paradis
L'annonce est on ne peut plus fidèle à la réalité. une fois arrivé devant cette magnifique propriété, la vue est a couper le souffle, la terrasse et la piscine à débordement au premier plan puis le grand plongeon dans la mer Tyrrhénienne. Ernesto qui nous a bravement attendu a Sant Ambrogio nous a conduit à la propriété puis nous a fait visité la maison. L'accueil y est à la hauteur du cadre. C est une maison vivante et nous n'avons fait que passer. Tout y est, et comme nous sommes arrivés tard le soir pas de soucis pour le lendemain, il y ce qu'il faut pour "survivre" jusqu'aux achats. Revenons à la maison, c est très très propre, très bien équipé. les terrasses sont meublées avec goût et harmonie. Nous étions fin septembre et n'avons pas utilisé la cuisine extérieure mais c'est sûr que en plein été elle doit être super pratique. la piscine est parfaite et chaude, nous y avons passé de très beaux moments. Angelo, le propriétaire est très soucieux de l'accueil et de notre bien-être. Ernesto s'est occupé de tous nos petits soucis (utilisation de la tv, entretien de la piscine et même un dépannage de notre voiture avec laquelle nous avions crevé) Il nous a aussi donné de bons tuyaux pour nos visites comme notre sortie a CastelBuono. Bref, nous pourrions en raconter beaucoup plus encore et que du positif. Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette location, tout était conforme à nos attentes et nous y avons vraiment passé un superbe séjour. merci à Angelo et à Ernesto

Tolles Haus / Tolle Menschen
Das traumhafte Haus ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für einen tollen Urlaub. Man genießt die Stunden am Haus, die Wanderungen in einer herrlichen Natur und auch die Ausflüge ins nahe Cefalu oder Palermo. Angelo hat uns herzlich begrüßt und uns sein Haus gezeigt. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Ein großer Obstkorb, Wasser eine Flasche Sekt standen für uns bereit - vielen Dank Angelo! Der Weg ans Haus ist zwar „abenteuerlich“, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran. Wir sind diesen Weg auch nachts ohne Probleme gefahren. Im Laufe unseres Aufenthaltes hat uns Ernesto verwöhnt. Ob mit frischen Backwaren aus Cefalù, guten Tipps und letztendlich mit einem unvergesslichen Besuch bei einem Ziegenbauer. Gole di Tiberio sollte man auch unbedingt besuchen - das lohnt sich. So eine perfekte Betreuung hatten bislang noch nicht erlebt. Grazie mille Ernesto und Angelo.

Unvergesslicher Urlaub am Meer
Das Haus mit großzügigem Grundstück steht mitten in der Natur mit herrlichem Blick auf das Meer. Auch die Einrichtung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen: Geräumige Zimmer (Schlafzimmer alle klimatisiert), gut ausgestattete Küche und alles sehr gepflegt. Das besondere Highlight ist natürlich der Pool! Der Vermieter kümmert sich liebevoll um seine Gäste, auch das wussten wir sehr zu schätzen. Eine wundervolle Unterkunft, die wir jederzeit wieder besuchen würden!

Wunderschöne Villa im Naturpark Madonie
Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) sind sehr glücklich, dass wir zu Gast sein durften auf "il sogno Matilda". Wir haben die großzügige Villa mit all ihren Annehmlichkeiten sehr genossen. Die Kinder haben den Pool geliebt. Die Sonnenuntergänge waren atemberaubend und wir konnten von der schönen Aussicht auf der Terrasse gar nicht genug bekommen. Auch die Umgebung mitten in der Natur lässt Wanderungen oder Spaziergänge zu. Ernesto (Hausmeister) stand uns mit Rat (Reifenpanne) zur Seite und vermittelte uns ein unvergessliches Naturerlebnis bei Ziegen und Ricottaherstellung. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut okay. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank Mr. Piraino für die Gastfreundschaft, herzlichen Dank auch Ernesto und Sohn für die super nette Betreuung vor Ort !!!

Wonderful place
A real family house , a beautiful and very quiet place with a fabulous view ! Very nice garden and surroundings as well . The swimming pool is great ! The house was very clean and the owner helpful , a perfect holiday !
