"B&B Ca' Viro was a truly great find. We arrived by bus (from Sondrio train station) which dropped us right outside the front door - all for the measly sum of €2 each. Our room was wonderful and better than expected. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. The grounds are a sight to see and our room was only 50 metres from a path along the river which provided some great walks. Breakfast the nect morning was amazing!! So much choice and all was wonderful. When it was time to leave, we noted that a bus was not due for quite some time, so we are asked Roberto, the manager, to call us a taxi to take us and our cases to Sondrio station. He said, "No need for a taxi - my wife is going shopping and she will drop you at the station". Not only did she drop us at the station, but it turns out she did so on her birthday!!. We cannot recommend this fabulous gem enough: the hotel and its facilities were first class and Roberto and his wife were friendly, attentive hosts who went way beyond what was expected. "The apartment is located in an old hotel but the location & condition of the very large apartment was very good. Driving to all the villages in the Engandine was a beautiful experience. The location is excellent & many restaurants are available within 5 miles ."

"We absolutely loved this place. It was cosy, comfortable, wonderful people who run it. We had a disaster with car rental after a delayed flight and the hosts couldn’t have been more kind and understanding. It’s so chilled, welcoming, beautiful and peaceful. If we hadn’t had our next accommodation booked we would have love to stay longer. Breakfast is lovely, pool towel, gowns and flip flops provided. Pool is perfect and always open, table tennis available. Other guests were fabulous too. 100 out of 10. "

"A beautiful and tranquil b&b. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. It is very hard to get to by public transport if you are hoping to explore lake como but we were picked up from the station and lent bicycles for our stay which was so helpful and made a really nice addition to our holiday (we definitely felt silly for not researching the transport enough before). We will definitely come back! "

"The hotel was conveniently located near the thermal spa and I was able to stay & enjoy until the evening. The area is so picturesque and loved strolling around the shops. The breakfast is great with baked pastries.I can hear the water pipes from adjoining rooms ,it didn't bother me since I brought earplugs. There is no aircon but you can open the windows."
