Welcome to Catahoula Lodge! This beautifully renovated mountain cabin is situated on 4+ acres of wooded privacy. Inside you will find spacious bedrooms, maple hardwood flooring, brand new bathrooms and new cabinets, countertops and appliances! Two wood stoves and a beautiful rock chimney provide that great cabin experience. Step outside and enjoy the wrap-around porches that surround all sides of the house. A beautiful mountain stream at our northern border completes the outdoor options--great
spot to play in the water or have a picnic. The large fenced yard provides security for kids or pets.
Located just 1-1/2 miles south of Dupont State Park and five miles north of Ceaser's Head, this is the perfect location for hiking, biking, horseback riding, waterfalls and so much more! The turnoff for the Pretty Place chapel is just three miles to the south--with spectacular views of the South Carolina panorama. We are about 10 minutes from Brevard--voted one of the best small towns in America! Brevard is loaded with art galleries, pottery and weaving, excellent restaurants and shopping. Hendersonville has even more and is about 15 miles to the east. Asheville is north about 30 miles.
The house offers a private and quiet setting to enjoy the outdoors. Two HD satellite TV's and Wifi keep you in touch with the outside world. Toughest decision of your day? Best Christmas vacation!!!
The house was perfect for my family of 9, we all loved the house, the property, the location. There was enough space for everyone without feeling crowded during our 2 days indoors because of the rain. Having the Dupont State Forest right around the corner was awesome for hiking and waterfall viewing. And we enjoyed snow tubing at Moonshine Mountain, that was an easy drive only 30 minutes away. Lastly, we enjoyed breakfast/lunch at the Creekside Market and Grill right around the corner there in Cedar Mountain.

There was plenty of room both inside and out. This was a great house for everyone to have their own space. 10 min away from Hooker falls for a short walk to a great swim under a waterfall.

Awesome cabin in a great location
We have been coming to Brevard for biking for years. This place is the first place I check when booking. The house is clean. Nice weber grill to cook on, well stocked kitchen, and a comfortable, spacious living room. Nice washer and dryer pre-stocked with Tide Pods is great to wash your riding kit. Love the location with the large yard and fire pit. Super convenient to Dupont and a short drive to Brevard. Detached 2 car garage is perfect for storing the bikes and extra handy in case you get a rainy day and want to do some work on your bike. They always have a couple racks of seasoned firewood so its great to be able to easily get a fire going without having to wrestle with damp green wood. If you get rained out, the covered porch w/ rocking chairs is a great place to chill. We will definitely be coming back!

Another Perfect Stay at Catahoula Lodge
This is our the second time visiting Catahoula Lodge and once again it did not disappoint. Plenty of space and a perfect setup for a relaxing vacation in the mountains/woods. We found the beds comfy, wood stove warm and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. We’ll definitely be back!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Mountain! The house was spacious, allowing room for our party of seven to spread out. The property was quiet and felt secluded, though we were among other homes nearby. The fenced backyard was great for our dog and the creek, though a little challenging to get to, provided hours of fun for the kids. The property is convenient to numerous hikes and waterfalls. Overall, an excellent experience. Only small issues were slow Wi-Fi and a doggie smelling couch.

We stayed one week with my family It’s close proximity to town and to DuPont State Forest was nice We took a trip to Ceasers Head and Table Rock State Parks in SC Really enjoyed it !! And we also visited Wildcat Falls in SC and also visited Upper White Water Falls and Looking Glass Falls in NC so we really enjoyed traveling all around the area But really enjoyed coming back to the house and cooking for everyone !! Didnot get a chance to see Pretty Place I have been there before but it has been years so next time !! You will love this home !!

This was a beautiful setting in the woods. Lovely home with 3 levels to spread out. Porches were amazing and we enjoyed how wide and long they were. The porch rockers allowed us to spend a great deal of time on the porch. Very private setting. The host had many supplies available which was very generous. We used fire pit and logs were provided. The area around was full of hikes and waterfalls. Great mountain trip! We made it to pretty point as suggested by host! And the host had lots of good suggestions to places to visit.

This was a wonderful and clean house with a great fenced backyard that our collie loved playing in! My wife and I enjoyed the swing on the front porch as well as the well equipped kitchen and the nice isolated private location. A couple of suggestions; Please provide better seating in the main floor, for example, a couple of recliners and a better couch. Another improvement would be to add TVs to the bedrooms. Great getaway!
I booked this cabin over a year ago for my birthday in march for a girls getaway. I wanted to visit Pretty Place Chapel. I had to reschedule the stay due to an emergency and they made it super easy to change. It ended up being just my boyfriend and I but it was still worth the stay. It’s beautiful. We were afraid of the ice on the road (I’m from Florida and never been anywhere else lol) so we didn’t make it to the chapel. But I plan on going sometime in the summer. Maybe even the same cabin since we liked it so much.

Owners go the extra mile to ensure your stay is fantastic!
We read all of the stellar reviews of this place, but were still taken aback by how nice it was! You would never know it was a rental property. It's so clean, and well-maintained. Everything works. The kitchen has really nice Cuisinart pots and pans and beautiful pottery dishes where most rental kitchens have that "the renters are just going to ruin it anyway, so why bother" quality. I took pictures of the tiled showers because I want them in my own home. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms so dark that you may want to bring a flashlight in case you need to get up in the night (or just look in one of the drawers and I'm sure they've already thought of that). Also, the walls are quite sound-proof. It was strange to not be woken up once by my tiny nieces and nephews! We had such a great time!
