Because of hurricane damage in October 2024, (only 3 months ago), much of Cedar Key is rebuilding, so we were happy to see the beautiful new amenities. Our room had an amazing view of the ocean and Dock Street, with new everything, from shower to floors to even new beds. HOWEVER, we had to call the manager because our room's heater was blowing cold air. Maintenance came in less than 10 minutes, and quickly swapped our unit for a working one, and very politely apologized. We later, after dinner, also were unable to get into our room, because the electronic code system wasn't working. Even though it was after hours, the manager personally drove over, and helped us get in. We were not aware until a few hours later, that we also had NO hot water. Because it was nearly 11pm, we did our best with very COLD water in showering. The staff was VERY helpful & polite, and the room was beautiful & very clean. But, I feel either housekeeping or SOMEBODY should have checked the basic necessities BEFORE renting.
