"John Muir lodge is the only place where to spend the night outside the north part of Sequoia Park. Very basic lodge for the price. Limited water pressure in shower. Clean and large room. No A/C only heater. Coffee in the room but no breakfast at the lodge. The restaurant is 5 min walk from there to offer basic lunch, diner and breakfast. "

"Great location. The burger and toasted cheese sandwiches that we ate in the snack bar were as good as any others we had in California. Price is high for the room but that is to be expected when staying in a NP and being surrounded by all the natural beauty. All the staff we met were very nice and helpful. The closest propane is 25 miles away. 2. There are no smoke detectors in the unit. Due to the fact that there is an unvented gas heater as well as the water heater in side the cabin… Smoke detectors as well as a carbon monoxide detector should be, and pretty sure legally mandatory. "Lovely and spacious cabin in Kings Canyon Park. We stayed 4 nights in October. The cool nights made the pellet fireplace much appreciated. Plenty of outdoor seating for warmer weather. There’s so much to vist nearby that 3 days was not nearlt enough. We’ll be back."
