Picked this place trying to save a buck so I didn’t expect a lot but they did not meet the very low bar I’d set for it. No staff anywhere to be found. There was a bunch of junk lying around at the front desk. No lights on in the entry way. Very dark, dank, run down. They put a $100 deposit on my credit card even though Id already paid. I cant think of anything I could possibly have broken there worth $100. Room was freezing. I turned the “heater” on. It only blew cold air all night long. It looked like they were in the middle of a remodel at least I hope they were. Sheets smelled clean despite being covered in stains. Didnt bother to turn the TV on or take a shower. Would gladly have traded the $20 I saved on literally any other hotel in town.

Absolutely terrible! Room hadn't been cleaned. Shower was full of soap scum and towels/bedding stained. Asked for a different room, second room didn't have the power on. Dirty and the fridge stunk like power hadn't been on in months and standing water sat. Absolutely disgusting, staff said they just got the hotel. Clearly the new owners didn't perform basic cleaning of the rooms before begining taking money from customers. Was a process to get a refund. Stay far, far away from this place! Not following the most basic sanitary procedures.

Feel like I'm in a zoo. No windows to outside. The window goes straight to the hallway. Had staff lurking out my door a couple times and even try to get in my room even tho I was baked getting out the shower yelling "ya, I'm in here". Other than tht it's good

Smelled like cigarettes even though it said it was a no smoking hotel and was dirty in the room, stains on bed sheets, nasty spots on lamps, debris in the drawer by the bed, pieces of stuff on floor, carpet had stains on it. Literally the only reason I stayed was because I was so exhausted I didn't trust in driving to another hotel.

Frankly, as a pregnant woman this stay felt like it would never end. It was cleanier than most hotels but that doesnt makeup for the disrespectful management. The woman who checked us in knew about our dog and yet we were required to pay an additional 80 dollars which i might add they never told us when they put the payment through. In addition, they said it would be 180 but they would do us a favor and bump it down to the charged price. We were never informed about this upon arrival. Doors slamming at almost every hour on the hour and need i remind you i am 7 MONTHS PREGNANT! And i already have a hard time sleeping. Also very loud music coming through the vent in the bathroom. We are pretty sure we were placed in the room next to what seemed to be their storage room. It was as if we needed an eye kept on us like we were criminals. Microwave worked but only if you needed something cooked for a minute. I had gone down for breakfast and made myself waffles, before i could even eat a man comes from around the corner and practically stares me down. "Why, why you did this?"(a mess of batter that i did not clean up yet) "this is no good", same man who told us not to bring cereal into room. Again clear criminal treatment. Or maybe just a thing against woman. The wife who i assume was married to that man was very much in the wrong for calling my fiance a liar. As she walked away. We would expect either a full or half refund. Or a few nights free at a later date

I used to live in Cedar Falls and this hotel used to be all right. This place has gone really down hill. There is no money spent on upkeep much less upgrades. Breakfast was a joke. No coffee ever. Needs a complete overhaul from owner on down. Would rather take my chances in Waterloo than stay here again.

There were several concerning things about this property. There was a huge brown stain on the floor by the bed. The stain reeked of cigarette smell. The lampshade on the desk was broken and had been set directly on the light bulbs - a potential fire hazard. The smoke detector was hanging from the upper wall by the wires - not sure if it would have worked in case of a fire. The mirror on the bathroom door was filthy. The phone in the room appeared to have scorch marks on it. The metal Kleenex box covering was full of rust spots. The sink leaked A LOT, all over the floor. When I contacted the person at the desk about the leaking sink, he said, "What do you want me to do about it?" I was stunned at his comment! I asked for another room, but he said there weren't any other rooms (I'm not sure if that was accurate or not). He brought us more towels to mop up all the water and gave us a $5 bill as compensation. We put a wastebasket under the sink to catch all the water that was leaking. We did NOT shower the next morning as the tub looked rather grimy. There were very limited breakfast items, plus a broken juice machine. We went to a restaurant for breakfast, after we checked out. Will NOT stay there again!

Overall the neighborhood was fine, felt aafe for a late night check-in but when we checked in guy at sesk never spoke a word to us. When we got to the room, the door was ajar, held open by the security lock. Made us really nervous. Bathroom was disgusting! Floor had wear holes in it, chair had atains, and we found a smooshed bug on the wall!

my room was very clean and mini split HVAC was very good. HOWEVER I have a few negatives.... In spite of only 2-4 cars in the parking lot AND never seeing another person in the hall in a 2 day stay....I was told there were no rooms on the first floor, so lots of stairs and confusing halls....so IF you are older or have issues with mobility, check first Also my remote for the TV did not work at all and manual turn on limited my choices to 3-10 channels Coffee machine in room may have worked.....but part to hold coffee was missing. I did housekeeping in a major hospital ER so small things catch my eye.....bathroom door mirror was quite dirty....Little things matter
