"Mountain house was an oasis that had us wish we were staying longer. Great setup with the two bedrooms and their own bathrooms. Calm, quiet, and a great view. The restaurant in the neighborhood was great for when we didn't want to cook and the pool at the house was great to hang out in with a cocktail. Kitchen is well stocked with spices and cookware. Will definitely be back!"

"We chose to stay mid island for the past few nights of our trip so we could experience more local culture in the middle and East End. We had no problem locating the house. We asked for directions a few times and everyone was very helpful. We chose this accommodation due to its views and proximity to a swimming beach. Upon arriving we noticed the construction of new homes is blocking the views to the sea from the main floor. You can still see the ocean from the upstairs bedroom decks, however....

"A lovely cottage nestled in the jungle. A bit remote and a car is needed to get around. The walk to the beach is steep but very manageable. A short 5 minute kayak ride to the famous mangroves, and through the mangroves to a plethora of restaurants and bars. The location is great if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the West Island. "Our large family group enjoyed our stay at Palmetto Bay. As native Hondurans, the property was reminiscent of the natural flora and flauna that has been removed from more popular parts of the islands. The more natural feel was accompanied by an increased wildlife presence which has its pros and cons. Management was very responsive and the restaurant food was really good. We used the dive shop to go snorkeling which was also a 5 star experience. It was the little things that made this a 4 star...

"We came in January to escape the winter blues. Everything about our stay was perfect. The cottage does not disappoint! Steps from the beach, your own private pool, a stones throw from the restaurant and dive shop. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and bathrooms were large, clean with plenty of hot water and a larger capacity washer/dryer. Amanda and the dive shop were incredibly helpful and made for the perfect dive experience. All in all an A for Palmetto Bay. "

"One of the loveliest VRBOs we’ve ever stayed at. Everything was top notch and well laid out. 2 family units stayed a week, the fact there were 4 bedrooms and 4 baths meant privacy and comfort. The terrace area was in constant use by all, a shady spot with a stunning view.
