Come enjoy a secluded getaway at our freshly renovated home on the Columbia River. This home is the perfect place to recharge and relax or find adventure in beautiful PNW style. We especially love to enjoy the wildlife and views from the wraparound deck overlooking the river. If you’re interested in catching more than just the sunrise and sets adventure is just outside your door! From hiking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, bird watching, fishing, it’s all at your fingertips. Little city adventures are nearby with Astoria being fun ferry ride away, or have a night out in the cute town of Cathlamet (4-minutes drive). Want to unwind after all the fun? Sink into the comfy oversized lounge couches for a peaceful sunset, maybe followed by a movie. The choice is yours, and you deserve it!

We had such a wonderful stay. It was a beautiful property overlooking the water. We even got to see some river otters. Our host were fantastic very responsive and we would love to stay there again highly recommend it.

This cute home is perfect for our getaway. The area is so chill and quiet. You got the farm like atmosphere and the beach just up the street. Very clean and up to date has everything we need. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Winter Getaway
What a wonderful cozy getaway. The owners have a great feel for what folks are looking for in a getaway as a matter of fact they nailed it. Beautiful views out every window, birds, geese, deer, and elk up in the hills. Can't wait to come back and get some fishing in. This place will not disappoint. We were fortunate to be in town for the Bald Eagle fest and we enjoyed the weekend so much, there was a fireworks show on my husband’s birthday, that was awesome. Everyone from the area that drove by would wave, we are so not used to that.

We absolutely loved our stay at Steve’s Puget Island home! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The kitchen was super well-stocked with plenty of gear for us to use for our meals. The setting is spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting on the back deck watching the birds and wildlife. We’ll certainly come again.

Exceeded our expectations! Lovely, roomy, clean home with comfy beds and furniture. But the best part was the spectacular view of the Columbia River and seeing so many kinds of birds and even an otter!

This place is off the charts. Everything you could possibly need. So clean and cozy. The back porch over looks the river. It rained one of the days we were there so we enjoyed the day just hanging at the house and fishing off the deck. We are already looking forward to coming back.

Clean and quietly elegant river side cabin feels like home. Every thing one could want or need for kitchen use, laundry or bath. Host is thoughtful and responsive. Great bicycling /walking roads with little traffic. Wonderful view of the slough and river. Calm ambiance as one observes the tidal flow of the river and sky. Close to small town for coffee or groceries or a meal. My small chihuahua settled in comfortably as did we. Great spot.

Loved the beautiful, fully renovated home, from the granite countops and stainless appliances to to amazing water view from the deck. We were mesmerized by the pelicans. We loved every surprise visit from the Osprey who was sitting on her eggs on the property. Every time we turned around - relaxation! Loved it! It was just what we needed! And Puget Island is lovely and the people are so friendly.

Quiet vacation spot and helpful owner
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we would love to stay there again. The interior of the house looks like it was recently remodeled, and it is clean & tastefully decorated. The views across the water are beautiful. The owner responded quickly to my questions, and even offered to come by and visit with us to answer our questions about fishing and crabbing in the area since he is a long time fisherman on the Columbia River. When he came by to visit, he had just arrived back in the states from an international trip, and I know he had to be exhausted, but he took time to greet our dog, and provide some excellent fishing and crabbing advice. Thank you, Steve, for making our vacation a great one.

Peaceful and Quiet
We came here with our pup for a couple of nights for some peace and quiet, and it was the perfect stop to relax and unwind. Our dog had fun running around in the field each morning, and we were content to watch the birds during the day and the tv at night. We brought a jigsaw puzzle with us too, and the coffee table was perfect for assembling it (large, ultra-smooth surface). We did most of our own cooking, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment and some basic ingredients (salt, pepper, some spices, cooking spray, vinegar). It was a quick drive to the grocery store in Cathlamet for anything we forgot to bring with us. If you visit on a weekend, Little Island Creamery is just down the road and has cheese and butter for sale.

Fabulous relaxing and peaceful getaway
What a wonderful place and host. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We woke up to the birds singing to us and the osprey chatting. The three of us stargaze every summer and this was by far our favorite so far. The place had everything we needed for a getaway. It was the perfect place to go out in the night on the deck to witness the meteor showers. Steve was fantastic and quickly responded to the few questions we had. The deck facing the water was perfect for seeing the pelicans, osprey, and little birds. We drove the island and saw the deer. We took a day trip to astoria and on to the beach. And another day we took the ferry to Oregon for a farmers market. We definitely plan to go back. Thank you very much for allowing us ladies and my gigantic dog to stay!

Mesmerizing and welcoming river view.
We came to the area to visit relatives, My sister recommended this wonderful house so we can marvel at the River view. The house was like home, everything you needed was available in the kitchen, bedrooms, bath, laundry, living area, and outdoor sitting area. The decor matched being in a River home, warm and decorative. Sitting and watching the birds was mesmerizing. This is a home you do not want to leave. The extra touches were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The fact that our dog was welcome also was a big deciding factor to stay here. Blankets were available so our dog could sit with us to enjoy the view. Thank you for appreciating the four legged guest. We are so much looking forward to revisit this home. We extend our gratefulness to Steve and Betsy for welcoming us to stay here. This is very hard to post because we want to keep this hidden gem selfishly for ourselves.
