"Mark , his wife and team create a friendly atmosphere where nothing is too much of a problem. My only criticism would be the standard of the croissants and danish pastries. they never looked fresh and appetising, the croissants were very bready, I will let you off the fruit selection because the whole country suffers from that!!!"

"This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not."

"Another really comfortable stay in quality surroundings and a warm welcome from the staff. The Hart Suite is cosy and welcoming with great views over the surrounding countryside. My first choice of hotel when heading north or south as it’s very conveniently located near the M1 - but feels much further away thanks to its tranquil location.
