"A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. "This was an absolute highlight of our trip. The castle is beautiful and incredibly well kept. The proprietor visited our table one morning, at the beautiful breakfast they offered, and gave us some fantastic history of the property and the upgrades she has made to the castle and the grounds. Nothing short of excellent!"

"Property is beautiful! Actually picture perfect, with a good breakfast, and great value for the price . The best part is your staying on a winery and you can even smell the grapes fermenting. A great experience! The town Certaldo is so cute , we had a car and explored all around. I really recommend Maestrini Auto for a car rental in town. Recommend this hotel we loved it. "

"What an amazing place! Volpaia is a unique venue, in a beautiful setting and it was a joy to stay there. Our room was lovely- comfortable, clean and with a stunning view- even from the loo! The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good - in short we could fault our stay at Castello di Volpaia."

"The property was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay! The pool and the available excursions made it very enjoyable. Our only criticism is that we we’re originally told the restaurant would be open the first night we were there and it wasn’t. Instead we got a “pizza party” this was fine except the cost was not presented to us prior. The pool was also closed early due to a wedding. "If you are going to Siena and Tuscany, this property is an amazing place to stay. Beautiful house surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. It has everything you need for your stay. The owners were very responsive and helpful. And don’t forget to have Kati prepare a meal for you as an option they provide. It was wonderful. "I went on family vacation in Feb 2025. We stayed in bunglows with kitchenware. If you want to cook something at home book with Kitchenware. Not all the bunglows have this option. They have Laundry, Restaurant, Supermarkets (normal price). Also you can use there Bus service to Florence city (2 Km away from city center) in euro 3.5 pp. Best way to travel from this Hotel, is to take the public bus number 14 which is more convenient for a stop in the city, costing 1.70 cents each way. "Clean, comfortable, quiet, and such a lovely room with a balcony view that can’t be beat. The spa services were easy to schedule with the friendly staff (definitely get a massage while you’re there) and the location was perfect. We were a ten minute walk from the city center and felt both close to everything and far enough away that we could pretend to be locals. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to end our days in Tuscany. "

"Loved this hotel. We stayed here our last night in Florence before going home. Wish we could have stayed for more days. Very nice staff, they held our bags for us until it was time to check in. When we came back from Pisa, our bags were in our room. I would definitely stay again. "
