The Castellana Caves (Italian: Grotte di Castellana) are a remarkable karst cave system located in the municipality of Castellana Grotte, in the province of Bari, Apulia. They are one of the most famous show caves of Italy. The caves, discovered in 1938 by the speleologist Franco Anelli, are situated 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) south of Castellana.The entrance is represented by an enormous vertical tunnel 60 meters (200 ft) long. The main cave is named "La Grave" (as abyss), and others are named Black Cavern (Caverna Nera), White Cave (Grotta Bianca) and Precipice Cavern (Caverna del Precipizio).

We were a group of 7 and had lots of space, with 2 couple enjoying their own private annexes, and the others having plenty of space on the main house. "The house was wonderful. Host was fantastic. He had the house stocked with the food that we asked for prior to our arrival. No microwave. The wifi doesn’t reach the Trullo house. There should be an extender added. The Trullo is very cool the AC works well throughout the whole house and Trullo."

"We had a fantastic stay at the villa, it was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor area with the pool, dining area and bbq were lovely and the huge gardens were beautiful. The Villa was well equipped, the beds were comfy and all rooms were very spacious. The location was great very close to shops and restaurants and it served as a good base to explore the wider area. A mid-stay clean and towel/linen change would’ve been appreciated- otherwise all absolutely perfect- thank you!"

"The trulli are beautifully finished with everything you could need. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation. The location in the countryside is breathtaking. The pool, grounds and inside of the trulli are perfect. The hosts went above and beyond. We had a flat tire about 20 minutes from the trulli and she helped arrange the tow and tire change and picked us up from the roadside. "

"Beautiful property in the country. A small car is needed to access it. We stayed end of season & trulli was a bit cool/damp - heating’s an extra charge. Hot water worked intermittently in shower -it couldn’t be repaired during our 5 day stay. There are security cameras at property/pool which appear to be monitored - host contacted us at 1:30am when we forgot to turn off outdoor lights. "

"Casa Giancone was fabulously comfortable and well-equipped and we loved our week in the Puglian sunshine! "From the personalized greeting as we entered the property, to being welcomed as we parked. Every step of the reception process was exceptional and professional. Check-in was quick Rooms were outstanding The view is priceless The complementary shuttle between the hotel and downtown, whether you’re visiting the restaurant, or just spending time exploring.. the shuttle service was an unexpected bonus Every time we returned to our rooms, they had been reset cleaned and organized, as if we were arriving for the very first time Super professional staff, I am looking forward to the next visit already!"

"Great area to visit.very easy to park open yard parking .and you can take a tuk tuk to town so you don’t have to worry about parking which easiest easy. They have a nice restaurant on property. Staff very friendly and helpful. This was my second stay."
