The gardens and outdoors of this distinctive Italian country house VILLA OTTO are simply magnificent. An ideal base for touring the beauty of Tuscany, the farmhouse is situated in Orentano, a delightful village full of folks events, food festivals and bespoke restaurants. The highlight of this villa is the proximity to all Tuscan major sites and things to see such as Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena: the villa is strategically located halfway between all these towns. The beaches of Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi are just 40 mins drive away so it is close to Cinque Terre as well. With its spacious, comfortable interiors and gorgeous outside spaces, it makes a wonderful option both for groups and large families.

The ground floor has a fully equipped country-style kitchen, as well as grand living room with TV and dining area, all of which open to a pleasant porch/veranda overlooking the garden and the pool which is fully furnished with sofas, armchairs and another dining table. On the ground floor there is also a Master bedroom with its own luxury bathroom and a laundry room.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, bathed in natural light with 2 luxury bathrooms and a drawing room. The house is fully air conditioned and has a very reliable wifi connection provided by the national phone company.

The private swimming pool is found next to the house, with a cosy gazebo to shade in and eight sun loungers.

The beguiling grounds and interiors were designed by a renowned architect.

Fantastic stay
Lovely property with a stunning pool in a nice quiet area. Very comfy beds. Only a short 10 minute walk into the local town. Fillipo was very helpful during our stay and had plenty of recommendations for where to go and eat! We also hired Roberto, the caretaker/gardener, to cook pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven one night - very much worth it as the pizzas were delicious! If we come back to this part of Italy, we will definitely stay here again.

Nice villa with outstanding service
The villa is perfect for families with kids. We stayed outside almost all day. It has a huge garden and big pool. With a nice platform for kids to play and sit in the water. The villa has everything you need. The service provided by Roberto and Filippo is outstanding. The pool area is not entirely as shown on the picture, there are other sunbeds (dark), which can get very hot in the sun. Also there is no umbrella, because of wind, but you can easily move the sunbeds below the olive tree to get shade.

Wow! A very beautiful and comfortable house! Filippo is a wonderful concierge and extremely helpful with excellent recommendations, such as a delicious dinner at home with a private chef and an exciting boat adventure at sea! Best day ever! Grazie Associazione per Il Mare! We spent a wonderful day at sea under the careful care of Captain Marco and First Mate Lamberto. Our family chartered the boat Moby Dick for a 6-hour cruise of Portovenere, neighboring islands and lunch at sea! At Villa Otto, what a pleasure to see Roberto every morning - he maintains the grounds and pool so nicely. The pool is so refreshing after a day of exploring Tuscany. To finish the evening, I recommend hiring Roberto to make the most delicious pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven! Mille grazie Filippo & Roberto per una bella settimana!

Villa Otto is Paradise! Mrs Sonia is amazing!
We returned from the villa 2 days ago and had a great time. Sonia was very helpful as was her son. The villa was spotless and had everything you could possibly need as well as a nice welcome pack which was very helpful as we arrived late on a Saturday night! We had plenty of space for the 6 adults and 2 kids and the complex was very safe for the kids as it was all gated and secure. The villa is situated in a very central location and is in walking distance to everything you need and there is a large supermarket not far from the villa. the TV was great as the kids could watch english programs and there were lots of antique and new books to choose from. The pool was clean and in a charming setting, also not deep which is great for kids - the travel cot and highchair were also a god send!! We had great barbeques aImost every night and we always had dinner on the beautiful terrace facing the pool and the hills all around. The villa itself is a highscale luxury home featuring intriguing interiors and the setting and the garden are IMPRESSIVE, so beautiful. I really enjoyed and would love to go again. Beautiful Villa
Upon arrival the owner and property manager met us at the Villa. They walked us through it and showed us how to us everything. The Villa is absolutely beautiful! The owners wife owns a bakery in town that is to die for!! About a 10 minute car ride. A must! Isabella arranged a wine tour with a private driver which I highly recommend. We rented a car and did mini trips such as Lucca and Pisa.

A truly special Villa - exceeded our expectations
Book it ! you wont be disappointed - worth every penny . This villa is like a small boutique hotel that you get for yourselves. Everything was spotless, a lovely meet and showaround from Laura and the owner and his family are a genuine Italian family (who own a lovely bakery in nearby town). A great location, small town with 2 restaurants and cafes and small shop. Can highly recommend the Vito re Della Pizzeria - a family owned place - try the nutella pizza for desert. Lucca is beautiful and worth a whole day. We will be back .

What a place
Fantastic villa in Tuscany. Place was extremely comfy, spacious enough for 2 families, very clean, and generally finished to a high standard. Would highly recommend. 2 minor things: The welcome at check in time, while generally welcomed, was a bit over the top and could be a bit more efficient I.e. stick to the key things in the house like the kitchen, heating etc. no need to show every room in detail. The only other minor thing is the area around the pool is very slippery when wet, not sure if a non slip finish could be applied to make it a bit safer.

Stunning villa and gardens. Amazing pool!
Villa Otto was everything we hoped it would be. The beautiful interiors provided a cool respite from the Italian sun. The well maintained gardens were lovely to enjoy and the pool absolutely exquisite. Thank you to Roberto for the help and the tomatoes. What a gentleman you are. Thank you to Felipe for your helpful recommendations and booking some super restaurants - nothing was too much trouble. Book it - you won’t be disappointed. It would be helpful to have a few basics included in the kitchen: olive oil, salt, pepper etc. possibly a welcome bottle of wine would be a nice touch as it is a lot of money to book.

We would highly recommend this place.
We had the best stay Villa Otto. Upon booking the villa the communication was first class and the place is beautiful inside and out. Clean, spacious and light. Roberto who comes to attend to the pool each morning is a real gentleman. The villa is in a great location to explore beautiful Tuscany. We would highly recommend this place.

an experience to remember
Sonia and Cristina did an outstanding job making our stay at the villa absolutely superb. Time and again, all week long, Isa organized activities == teaching us how to make pizza in a 500-year-old stone oven, taking us up to meet a blacksmith/artisan whose family for-ge had been operating for hundreds of years, and connecting us with a local cook who prepared a fantastic Italian meal. In the evenings, we enjoyed a variety of Italian wines looking out over the countrysude of Lucca and Florence from the patio. The accommoda-tions were first class -- and there was so much to see and do. Our group of four couples found this the best week in over 15 years of annual get togethers.

MEMORABLE
Sonia, herewith our review and thank you to you and Laura and the owners. Firstly the villa is beautiful – a real treat to arrive somewhere that looks just as good as the photos. Marco’s father was lovely and very helpful and Laura showed us everything and we were even invited to take brunch at Marco’s patisserie – which we did and it was great. We had a fab week – as Da Benito was closed we went to a family local pizzeria called Vito Re Della Pizza – very friendly and lovely pizza – we can also recommend it. We thought Lucca was stunning and very cosmopolitan. We hope to return to your lovely area next year. Thank you to Marco for being so helpful re the TV also. Kind regards

Reluctant to leave, we will be back
Well, reality has struck hard... we're totally settled back in to life in USA. It was a hard re-entry, going from carefree bliss at the Villa, to 24/7 activities here. I just got all of my pictures back… and I am working on a scrapbook... Thank you again for everything. It was a trip of a lifetime! We'll be back!

an unforgettable experience
We had wonderful stay in Lucca. The villa and gardens are beautiful and such a peaceful retreat from the busy tourist activities. Our highlights included bicycling in the countryside with a guide and bikes from Chrono, running the half marathon, walking on the old streets, playgrounds with the grandchildren, playing and resting in the private garden, bicycling in Lucca, wine tours, and taking our grandchildren on the merry go round. This luxury villa exceeded our expectations and is very conveniently located. Grazie mille.
