Casa Farsetti estate has been included inside the historical gazzette named 'Valdelsa Viva' among the forty cultural itineraries in the Valdelsa area, and it is located in the same site where once was the old Pieve(the name comes from the latin word plebs that means people's church).
The church had been consecrated Collegiata by Pope Innocenzo II in 1136, when , due to the schism, he was forced to leave Rome and was welcome by Pievano Bianco.
The property was partially ruined during the decades, then became a convent and was finally turned in to the priest's house during the 70th century, at that time,in 1706, they built the small curch,Cappella, that
is next to the main house,in memory of the Pieve.
The estate is one of the few that still keeps all the traces of the ancient times and its fascination.
It lies in the charming tuscan hills, sorrounded by cypresses, olive trees and vineyards.
The house has three floors: on the first floor there's a big kitchen with fireplace, living room , dining room and cellar.
On the second floor there's and ancient kitchen with a big fireplace, living room, library with fireplace and bed, two bathrooms(one with the thub, the other with the shower).
The third floor has four double bedrooms.
The owners live there now and then during the winter time, so it is completely furnitured with antique stuff.
The place is sorrounded by 30.000 square meters of land, in a very secluded and safe neighbourood, with a 6 x 12 private pool.
It is 2km from Castelfiorentino centre(Firenze) a nice town in the heart of Valdelsa, that has shops, supermarkets, a museum, hospital, railway station
with trains leaving for all the main destinantions(Siena30km.Firenze 45km,Pisa 45km,Livorno 55k)and all the tuscan coast.
