"This is a perfect chalet. Homely and comfortable, our group of 6 adults and four children had a marvellous stay in Vars. Fantastic location - a few minutes walk from the ESF school and lifts, and minutes away from a separate area where the children could toboggan and play with snowmobiles. Vars is fantastic - a relaxed, sunny, low-key resort with lots of charm and not the herds of Northern European skiers you usually encounter further north in Chamonix or equivalent. There are some lovely views, it’s in top-notch location, a wonderful village, accessible to all the best hikes and the chalet is spotless and has all the amenities you will need. One word of caution: the bedrooms are upstairs, the toilet is downstairs, the stairs are quite steep, so if you need to use the restroom at night it can be challenging."
