Give This One A Miss
I have stayed in many villas including rural Italy before. This is actually the worst I've stayed in. The facts are the access to the villa is up a rough rubble and grit track, it's parking area has well established weeds. The patio was dirty and leafy , I was told "it is the countryside and leaves fall" but it didn't account for the old pair of wellingtons, the stale bread in a plastic bag, the bit of wrought iron or the patio table covered in a very dirty cloth with 5 plants and a broken vase on it. The pizza oven was used to store cat food. Access to the pool was via an overgrown garden with weeds up to knee height. The pool had chlorinated water but the bottom was covered in silt, with many (100+) dead wasp like insects and rotten leaves. I asked for it to be cleaned as we had rented "a villa with pool" which should be available until the end of September. I was told something would be done but in the 2 weeks we were here no one came to attend the pool. The BBQ was caked in old fat. The outdoor seating consisted of some old deck chairs, an old settee and rocking chair, all a bit worn & tatty & occupied by cats & some plastic patio chairs. All the ground floor fly screens are damaged, big enough for the cats to get through. Some kitchen cutlery and utensils/appliances had old food residue so needed washing prior to use, the gas hob remains broken with only 3 rings out of 5 working. There's a lot more I was dissatisfied with but limited to 1500 characters in review.
