"What a gem!! Bergamo was a half-hearted, 1-day visit we added to our trip since we were flying into Milan in the evening & yet we were SO pleasantly surprised! The old town, which is walking distance from La Valleta, is beautiful with a nice handful of shops & restaurants. "Great location and in goid condition but terrible service prior to arrival - a code is required to access the property and instructions are to contact the owner at least 24 hours in advance. This is not easy as emails are ignored, phonecalls go unanswered and even hung up when you do get through. Signage from the street and within the building is also terrible.
