"Die Unterkunft ist aktuell nicht bewohnbar. Wir haben nach betreten der Wohnung den gewerblichen Vermieter kontaktiert und dies erklärt und alles mit Fotos dokumentiert. Ausser Beleidigungen gab es keine Antwort. Die Wohnung ist feucht und einige Zimmer hatten auch schon Schimmelflecken. Die Möbel, Matratzen überhaupt die gesamte Ausstattung ist uralt und teilweise verrottet. Jede Bettwäsche hatte Haare, Flecken ( eine vermutlich sogar mit Blut) und es gab Ungeziefer. "The house it self and the rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen however is small in comparison. Garden is very big and usable. Location is good enough to access various places, but some amenities are a few min drive away. The house is right on a fairly busy road but it's not an issue with the windows closed. The pool, while very nice and clean, is quite cold and even in mid August we struggled to utilize it. Overall the property does the job, but for the money, I hoped for something better."

Communication before and during our visit was prompt and very helpful. We took advantage of their recommendation to visit Monte Isola, a 5 min walk and ferry ride from the house. "The place was clean and the heating worked properly. Most of the beds are very uncomfortable opening sofa beds. The place is managed by an agency and not by the owner. You need to get the keys from the agents office which is half an hour drive away. The agent did not know the villa very well, thus could not give accurate information. There is no parking at the villa but there is parking at a nearby street."

"Villa Montagne e Lago is a fantastic villa in a beautiful location. Stunning vues across the lake from the garden/pool area. Very clean and well equiped, would comfortably sleep 6 people. You definately need a car to be able to explore the surrounding area, 1.5 miles from nearest main road up a very steep winding road. Would definatley recommend, perfect place for a family holiday!"

The hosts were unbelievably helpful, even organising dinner reservations and a cake for a birthday! The area is absolutely stunning with so much to do and see.
