"The place was great. On point to the review online everything in place, clean, lots of free space for big families. Quiet and beautiful view. Amazing owners that helped us a lot in every way we needed. The only downside I think about is the mattress being quite old, older folks with back problems we had a hard time to sleep and wake up. "Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"We booked a double room & private bathroom, toiletries, laundry , air conditioning & coffee making facilities. We had to share a bathroom with 2 other apartments , a sofa bed vs a double bed & there were no toiletries & actually no toilet roll, a fan & no air conditioning & no laundry facilities .we also had an issue checking in , initially they had no record of our booking & told us it had been through Expedia ?? We tried to escalate to Hotels.com but they don’t read the emails properly ! "

The apartment had everything you’d need for cooking, laundry and restful spaces. There was a cute porch with a view of a small chapel, a castle and the lake if you stood close to the railing. Lucia is incredibly knowledgeable about the village and the surrounding area, and provides a ton of information that we used to plan our time there.
