Recently restored village house
The house was as described and shown in the images. If you have mobility problems beware the short but relatively steep drive and the 10 or so steps up to the patio and entrance. The weather was pretty hot but the house was naturally cool with thick stone walls. There was an enormous dining table and an adjacent comfortable seating area which strangely had no lighting though we moved a couple of table lamps around so that we could read. The kitchen was well equipped apart from pans to suit the new induction hob. We made do but removing the pans that don’t work with such a hob and making sure there is a reasonable set of those that do would help renters. We only used one of the bedrooms but it was well equipped with a large wardrobe, tv and large comfortable bed. There is tidy bathroom on that floor with over bath shower but no screen or curtain, but for a shower there is a cubicle in the downstairs toilet which also houses the washing machine. Outside, the patio furniture was a wicker table and chair set but as there was no obvious provision of shade unless huddled against a far wall, it was of limited use if like me you can’t sit in the sun - there is no garden with shady nooks. Jenny was an excellent host and established WhatsApp contact well before check in and provided us with all the necessary information about the house. She kept in touch throughout our stay to check all was well. Enough food and coffee was left for ample breakfasts though Cascia is only a few miles away and has shops and facilities. Tazzo is a very small hamlet so a car is essential and with that there is easy access to the religious locations in and around Cascia, to Norcia and the Sibillini national park. Overall this was a good rental and we enjoyed our stay.
