"Although this hostel is a quite cheap place to stay at I absolutely recommend you to think twice before booking. In the shared room THERE ISN'T AC. During summer it's impossible to sleep. If I knew about it before I would stay at a different place for sure. I cannot explain lack of such fundamental deivce in Italy as AC, especially in this region. Bathroom has only access to cold water. Actually it's literally freezing temperature so good luck taking a shower, eventhough outside is 35-40...

"Villa Messi is located in a lovely quiet village of Casalini. The property itself is quite large, furnished with nice art and artefacts, giving it an initially opulent feel. Outside, there is an open eating area, complete with inbuilt barbeque, wood-fired pizza oven, hob, sink and even a fridge. We enjoyed using these facilities during our stay, including making and baking our own pizzas from scratch. The bedrooms are all en-suite. "This is a very large apartment in a 500 year old well maintained building. It is in the beautiful historic area. Do be aware that this is a VERY hilly area and you will have to walk up and down steep streets everywhere you go. That includes from the parking area. Cars are restricted from the area around the apartment without a permit. "
