"Very lovely, brand new waterfront property in Ortigia. When Apple Maps helpfully directed us to the property the wrong way down a one-way street, someone from the hotel came out to where we were and helped deal with the car. Overall very friendly and very nice. Great breakfast."

"Great location for exploring Syracuse, especially close to the archeological park. Mostly friendly staff and good service in the restaurant for dinner. The room is a decent size, clean and has a powerful shower. The breakfast had a good range of options but the 'hot' food was cold. Would have been good to have some powdered or long-life milk provided in the room for tea, instead of needing to request some from the bar."

"A beautiful property in a stunning picturesque setting. Full of character & charm, great breakfast & dinner available. Bathroom could do with updating and rooms feel very dark. Biggest drawback was our room which we booked for a family of 4 and were given a room right in the centre of the courtyard by the restaurant and the children’s bedroom was adjacent to the noisy kitchen. Needless to say it was very disturbing and loud and the hotel were not able to help or move us, which was a real shame...

"Our family (two adults and three children) stayed at Le Dune Residence for a week in June 2017. Despite arriving at midnight, we received a warm welcome from the owner. The apartment was equipped with a fridge, freezer, cooker, television, shower, balcony and air conditioners in both bedrooms. There was a communal washing machine and brick pizza oven. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. "This was a great property with lovely rooms, nice staff, good restaurant. Location is ok if you have a car. Great parking with either outside or underground for a small fee. Not close to town so you need a car or transportation to get to town. Not really a walkable location to see anything. But overall a great place to stay while visiting this area. "

"We lucked out finding this place for a couple of nights. The room was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the patio with comfy chairs We enjoyed the last two days of warm sunny weather at the end of the season. We had to venture to neighboring villages for dinner as the closing season saw Fontane Bianche grew quiet. The breakfast service was lovely. I would like to see more towel bars...this seems an issue with plenty of hotels. I would recommend this resort hotel to all my friends."

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. We wish we had had more time but needed a car to be returned to Syracuse by 11 next day :( I cannot say enough positive things about the place, the staff, the welcome, the price including breakfast and aside to the room, the gorgeous garden space and furniture. It was a calm relaxing area. We didn't use the pool being so late in but had a fabulous meal in the hotel with great service and good quality. The breakfast was as good. This hotel deserves to continue doing well as the staff are the best resource. Grazie per tutti x"
